A special thanks to the wonderful ladies working there. Their professionalism and dedication to service are truly admirable!
we took a 3-course menu for lunch and were blown away by the cod. for each dish the presentation and taste were fantastic. thank you!
During the 5-course dinner experience, most of waitresses were attentive and knowledgeable. However, most of them gave me a feeling that they are knowledgeable from memorizing/reciting ingredients for course and wine menu – lack of sincere passion for culinary.
The highlight of my dinner experience is the presentation. From appetizers to desserts to mint candies, every dish was decorated creatively with colorful ingredients. The first appetizer – raw tuna wrapped in crunchy rice wrap sprinkled with matcha powder – was such an amazing opening. It is easily the best dish out of all courses.
The overall dining experience is without a doubt pleasant and enjoyable where we see creative and talented chefs bring different ingredients into one single dish. However, the taste is my biggest critiques towards the 5-course dinner. From my subjective experience, the chefs try to experiment on harmonizing different ingredients but it backfires the overall taste and texture (some ingredients bring very intrusive taste or texture that does not hold the synergy). Hence, looking forwards to ore harmony in the dishes from talented hands 🙂
We’ve been several times and have never been disappointed, on the contrary, the kitchen team’s creativity is an absolute revelation every single time.
Top quality ingredients, picture perfect presentation, extremely competent and friendly staff and all that for a fair price.
If you’re a big eater you need to take at least three courses because the portions are relatively small (but priced correctly). But on the other hand that is also the restaurant’s concept: to try several small dishes. And to be honest, if you don’t, you’re missing out.
If you’re not open for a culinary journey, you should go elsewhere.
Don’t hesitate.
It is, however, a French restaurant of a higher level then average. For this reason, I was expecting a tad more than ordinary on all courses.
Let’s be clear, it’s good food but it wasn’t as exciting as I had expected.
The the opening shrimps, for example, missed some white pepper and a pinch of salt in the topping foam.
The cut of meat was cooked very well and came to the table at the right temperature (not easy considering the were quite a few of us, so, kudos to the timings): unfortunately, it was under seasoned.
The dessert was marvelously delicate: a couple of baby leaves of basil or thyme would have lifted it up without unbalancing it.
The service was attentive but, then again, with some shortcomings to the own admittance of the waiter. Nothing major, just not expected in such a place.
The decor is gorgeous: an old 3 stories house beautifully renovated, keeping all the charm of antique ceiling stucco
