This Puerto Rican restaurant in Tampa is truly exceptional. The food is consistently delicious — full of authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. The service is outstanding; the staff are friendly, attentive, and make every visit feel welcoming. The restaurant is always spotless and has a vibrant, lively atmosphere. It can get a bit loud at times, which makes conversation a little challenging, but it also adds to the energetic vibe.
The prices are very reasonable given the quality, freshness, and presentation of the dishes. I’ve been here at least six times, and every visit has been an absolute hit. The drinks and desserts are just as impressive as the meals — a perfect way to end an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend!

This time I went to visit Pal Campo restaurant which offers an authentic and traditional Puerto Rican dining experience. The service is excellent—our party of 16 ordered a wide variety of dishes, and everything arrived promptly and well prepared. Some of the group favorites were the bacalaitos fritos, chicharrones de cerdo, and the flavorful asopao.
The menu features classic Puerto Rican dishes such as carne frita, beefsteak, and many other traditional plates that truly represent the island’s cuisine. The ambiance and décor pay homage to the jíbaro, a term used in Puerto Rico to describe countryside people who farm the land in a traditional way. The jíbaro represents self-sufficiency and is an iconic symbol of Puerto Rican culture and identity.
They also offer live music from Thursday to Sunday starting at 7:00 p.m., which enhances the overall experience.
I highly recommend visiting Pal Campo and indulging in a genuine Puerto Rican dining experience for yourself. ✨

Pal Campo is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for authentic and flavorful Puerto Rican cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
The undisputed highlight of the meal was the Mofongo Relleno. It was exceptional—perfectly seasoned and moist, not dry or tough like mofongo can sometimes be. The filling was rich and savory, making this dish a must-try for any first-time visitor. I ordered skirt steak for my relleno filling, and I was genuinely impressed. It was cooked absolutely perfectly to my requested temperature, which, as any steak lover knows, is a true mark of a good kitchen. The quality of the meat and the preparation were superb.
The service was attentive and the staff were happy to offer recommendations. If you’re craving real, delicious Puerto Rican comfort food, Pal Campo delivers on every front. Highly recommended!

Good food, service and atmosphere. Got there at 11:30 am on Sunday morning and there were plenty of seating tables available. Our Server, María José was very helpful, she described the Menu, the entrees and which options were available to combine. We had a great time!

Excellent food, good atmosphere. Would certainly recommend and looking forward to a return visit.
Really no complaints on the food except for the fried green plantains in the appetizer were bland.

From what I can tell this restaurant is traditional and authentic PR cooking, and at lunch most of the customers and wait staff conversed in Spanish. We got Pal Campo Stuffed Chicken Filled with Sweet Plantains and Cream Cheese with Guava Sauce wrapped in Bacon with a side of Yellow Rice and Pigeon Peas. It was quite tasty but seemed it was cooked too long since the chicken was pretty dried out, but maybe that’s just how they do it. However I would order it again. The vanilla flan dessert was excellent. We will be bringing friends here in the near future. The menu has a lot of promise of new things for us to try.”
