Although the fish was very good, I have a hard time with them saying this is 4 “full” pieces of cod. It is more like 4 fish “Nuggets”. They were that small.
The coleslaw was flavorless, the dressing was very bland.
The fries were tiny scraps and undercooked.
Sadly, this was the first and last time I will be eating here.
They also charge 3% to use your credit card.
Wednesday for the 75 cent wings is a no brainer working within minutes of the place. Great Food for Lunch and Cold Beer after work. What more ya need?
The chicken wings are so much better than when it was Busters. They also have a better variety on their menu, including some bbq dishes. I had their brisket the last time I ate here. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was quite good. I believe that they make their own sauces too, all of which are great. I don’t like the Nashville sauce though.
One thing that I wish that they did have was mac ‘n cheese. How can you serve bbq and not have mac ‘n cheese?
Their service is top notch as well. Their waitresses can take care of the whole bar by themselves. I was in here the other day and the brisket waffle fries weren’t hot. And we mentioned it to the waitress and she, not only brought us out hot fries, but also took the brisket fries off of our tab. This was so unnecessary, yet so considerate. You can tell that the staff, from top to bottom, really care about their customer’s experience. That experience alone will bring me back in.
The beer selction is pretty good as well.
And while they are not dive bar prices, they are quite reasonable for what you get. 4 pieces of codd for under $12 is a good deal if you ask me.
Overall, this place is well worth the visit. Their food quality is much better than Busters.
Review of Busters (In location prior to Rocky’s Roadhouse):
I came in here last year. For those that don’t know, it’s in a good location, on the corner of Jefferson and Vreeland.
Their prices are pretty good. While I did not try the hamburger that was awarded by some guy that likes hamburgers, I was not really impressed with the chicken wings. I was told that the wings were pretty good by people in there, but as it turns out, they were just those little packaged frozen wings that were deep fired.
One thing I thought that was really cool about this place was that for every week of the year, a guest can pay money to pick a playing card. And if your card is picked, you win a jackpot. I’m not really sure if that is exactly how the giveaway works, but I am in the ballpark somewhat.
Overall, Buster’s is worth the visit.
