Ale Yak is one of my most favorite places to visit while in the mountains. If you haven’t been… you need to go. I went in September and then again in June and I had the same amazing experience. Bring your phone because you will be wanting to know what every song is. We ordered 3 pretzels that are from a local bakery and a Mediterranean Bowl (rotating menu) that I will be dreaming about. The owner is even more amazing than the food and beer. First of all… she was a forest firefighter and then a river guide and now she owns her own business in a place that she loves. A true badass. She makes the food, the playlist, developed the land and only has one other employee on the weekends. She cares about every little thing and it shows. If I didn’t have a family I would move to Leadville just to go to this place once a week for whatever she is serving. Go to Ale Yak and stare at the clouds and Turquoise Lake. Think of nothing. You won’t regret it. Then write a review on Google!! Thank you Dani!!! Can’t wait to see you again someday!!!

Great views of the mountains and sunset. Amazing vibes. Good music. Very cute place. The owner is really sweet. The food is great. Its a must visit if you want to have a peaceful evening . Its outdoors and dog friendly.

Loved this place! Nice area to sit and have a drink. There was a food truck too, which looked awesome too except that we had eaten already. Good lil selection of drinks, non and alcoholic. Darts and cornhole were available. Plenty of seating and a gorgeous view. They have stickers, and plan to have more merchandise soon.

Brand new spot in Leadville and it’s everything we wanted. Hot chix food truck, 4 cornhole set ups with awesome views of Turquoise Lake and a bloom of summertime flowers. The staff was super nice and they played great tunes as the Aspen grove fluttered over shaded tables. Support local, this is a great spot.

Cool relaxed little beer garden right off of Hwy 24. It’s slightly hidden and down the hill from its parking lot. The views are beautiful and has great music and vibes! Awesome place to stop if you have a long drive or are staying near Leadville!

So excited for this great dog-friendly outdoor beer garden! Beautiful views, great beverage selection – you can tell a lot of passion was poured into this project! What a fun setup! They had an Asian food truck and fried chicken truck that we ate at. Both were delicious. They had plenty of shaded seating, yard games, and clean bathrooms. We’ll be back a lot next summer for sure!

Didn’t grab any food, but fun snacky options available. Great, delish beer selection. Beautiful views. Excellent vibes. Relaxed atmosphere, cornhole optional as well as some other games, plenty of seating both in the sun and shade.

If you’re looking for outdoor seating, a view of Turquoise Lake (with some nice sage brush to provide filler), food, drinks, and a chance to play corn hole, this is definitely a place for you.
Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available, different food options – I tried the chicken (yum!).
The tables are nice and plentiful with some in the sun and some in the tiny aspen grove.

Recently have been visiting Ale Yak and every experience has been very positive. Great food, people, and view facing Turquoise Lake. Recommend anybody looking for a laid-back atmosphere to check out this spot.
