The staff were very nice—patient and all smiles. Good coffee—- they kept my cup full. I had the smoked bacon, cheddar and red onion omelette with sourdough toast from their specials menu. The sourdough toast was a little dry BUT I loved the omelette. And afterwards they brought our homemade flan. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Such a cute little spot we stumbled upon during our road trip through Cali! The french toast was some of the best I’ve ever had. They also had super fresh fruit. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made it a perfect breakfast stop. SUPER impressed!!

Tico’s quickly became my girlfriend and I’s favorite restaurant in the Marina/Monterey area. While visiting the area we ended up making it a mission to go nearly everyday. The food is delicious, from breakfast to lunch items it never disappoints. And the crème brûlée was incredible and we were heartbroken when on our last day in the area they were out! The staff here bring such a kind and wholesome atmosphere, the walls painted beautiful bright colors and flowers in glass vases on each table, the music played here was so good and just wrapped up the whole vibe so neatly. Thank you Ricardo and Sylvia for such excellent service and making us feel so welcomed!! As well as the cooks who I unfortunately didn’t get the name but wow you guys can cook! We will absolutely be returning here when we visit Monterey next!!!

My “Nova Scotia Benedict” was dreamy with the best hollandaise
sauce I’ve ever tried. With smoked salmon and spinach, every bite was perfection. The potatoes are well seasoned without relying on salt. We also tried the clam chowder that was clearly made fresh and yummy. We can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu.

A nice, cozy place, nice outdoor sitting, quiet, singing birds, relaxing music. The food is great, as well as the service. I had Eggs Benedicts on smoked salmon and a side order of bacon. Definitely will be there again. Right after the great food I went to the local farmers market 2 minutes away.

They did a fantastic job at getting everyone taken care of despite the fact that they were really shorthanded. It was all hands on deck, I think the cook or busser actually brought our food and I appreciate the fact that they just get it done. The food was great!!! I had fruit with cottage cheese and mini pancakes and my friend had eggs Benedict. I would 100% come here again, and I really hope I do because there are several other menu items that I want to try!

I really, really wanted to like this place. Upon entering, there were about 3 other tables to be waited on, so we were told it would take about 20-25 minutes to get our food. Understandable, so we took a table and started looking at the menu.
I started noticing a funky smell and realized it was the menus and the table… our table was wiped down with what looked like a damp, dirty cloth and I’m pretty sure the menus were wiped with the same cloth. I didn’t put my face close to the table/menu and carried on.
It was pretty quick getting our order taken… the gentleman took our order within 10 minutes of us sitting down (party of 6). Now begins the wait…
Our drinks took about 15 minutes to get to us, and we had to prompt them about 3 times after to bring out a glass of milk they had forgotten for the child in our group.
After waiting almost 45 minutes, our food finally came out! I was looking forward to the food due to the positive reviews and figured it would be worth the wait. It wasn’t in my opinion. I had the seafood omelet, which was about 85% cheese and 15% shrimp and crab. I’m not kidding when I tell you that I almost choked on the cheese a couple times because there was so much of it. My husband said his huevos rancheros was decent, nothing special. The toast that came with our meal was stale. The country potatoes were the star of the show… those alone were pretty good and saved this review from being a 1 star review.
By the time we ordered, there were 3 more tables that came in for a total of maybe 5-6 tables (it was a Sunday morning), and people from other tables had to go up to the register to ask to put in their drink orders. People who were sitting outside had to keep coming in to prompt the server’s attention. As someone who waited tables as the only server on Friday nights, the wait times were a bit ridiculous and could have been serviced way faster. And the servers could have been a bit more personable, but I guess not everyone has that cheery waiter/waitress vibe to them.
