Visited here in Sept of 2025 and this place was the bomb! We don’t get a lot of good Mexican food in Hawaii so coming here was a real treat. My husband said it was one of the best Mexican restaurants he’s eaten at in a very long time. The portions are pretty large and filling. The drinks were good and tasty but not too strong, which was OK because we had to drive. Their salsas were amazing. My husband had to get the famous flaming fajita (chicken $22) lit next to our table and he said it tasted very good. The chicken fajita came with sides, like rice, beans and a delicious Fideo soup. Total bill without the tip for the two of us for a late lunch was $88 (most of the pricey things were the drinks – the food was completely affordable and a great deal!)

My jaw dropped when the plates arrived. There was so much food for a good value. It was very filling.. portions sizes are bigger then my stomach. The burrito was the width of the dish. Taco was the size of my face.
Service was amazing. There was a few minutes wait to be seated but they came to get us to sit us down. We ordered and food came out quickly. They came around to our table multiple times to ask us how we were doing.
It was a great first time experience. Would recommend!

Just as good as ever. I remember coming here in middle school, now I’m in college, and everything about the restaurant is still amazing. Everything tastes fresh and is very flavorful. We went again recently for my mom’s birthday and we had a great time. We had gotten a variety of dishes and they were all exceptional. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant seemed very busy but our service was great and everything came out quick. They were so on top of everything and all of the staff were incredibly kind. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have the chance.

I went in to get the fajitas. Before ordering I had the chips and salsa and I ordered the cheese dip. The chips were good, they had both red and green salsa. The red salsa was bad, like real bad. When you prefer ‘On the Border’ salsa to this you know they need to work on the recipe. The cheese dip was also bad. It was covered in liquid fat, served in a flat skillet and hardened too fast to make it easy to pick up with just the chips. After this I decided not to take my chances with the fajitas so I just left.

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. First time a US based restaurant gave me food memories of being in Mexico years ago. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a table and we’re seated outside on the patio. It was a cool evening so it was delightful. Drink orders taken immediately and chips, 2 kinds of salsas and a bean dip came out. All delicious! Our waiter was kind and patient as we had 3 kids with indecisiveness. A small bowl of delicious soup came out next. Then our fajitas (steak and pork) for two. Fun presentation of setting it on fire. Waiter recommended to add cheese on top and glad we listened. We asked for corn and flour tortillas, both homemade. Kids all enjoyed their meals from the kid menu (chicken taquito, beef burrito and beef enchilada). We ate til overly stuffed because everything was amazing! Highly highly recommend this place!

Place was packed but we had reservations so we were seated after about 15 minutes. Margaritas were very good and not watered down. They gave us a lot of free nachos with bean dip and salsa. It was very good that when our actual food arrived we could hardly eat it because we got full from the chips and salsa. I had the shrimp ceviche which was also very good. Staff and service was also very good. Will definitely come back.

We ordered 2 large upscale margaritas using a better tequila and the waiter never mentioned price. When we got the bill they were $40 each. A pitcher of lower end tequila margaritas was only $38 so they added $42 for patron? The food was great but buyer beware on an upgraded margarita. Also let me add we only had a quesadilla and cheese dip and guacamole and it was $110

Family friendly restaurant, staff was friendly but food wasn’t good unfortunately. Came for the fajitas, it’s in their name so I expected something decent. Asked for MR they said they’ll try but it was well well done. Meat wasn’t very good, tasted low quality and my wife got pretty sick from it.

I grew up in South Eastern New Mexico. I don’t usually eat Mexican food in restaurants because it cannot compete with my friends mothers growing up. However, while in Vegas on business, we all went to Juan’s for dinner. I was very hesitant, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pork fajitas Al Ambre were absolutely fantasitco. The salsa was excellent as were the beans and tortillas. The atmosphere is amazing and our waitress was top notch! If you are in Vegas, craving some fajitas, Juan’s is a great choice!
