I love love love this place. We’re new to Winnipeg and my husband moved here before I did. He has been RAVING about Bonnie Day and I finally got around to trying it yesterday. We came for lunch and it was SO nice. The people are so lovely. Our server was so lovely and helpful. We got a soup of the day and it was a Hungarian mushroom soup. It was so good I don’t even know how they did it. I got a house salad with steak. The steak was literally perfect. My husband got the steak sandwich (I guess we were feeling steaky!). Also perfect. The sandwich bread was delicious. My only note was for the salad that felt a little too salty with the feta, pickles and the dressing. But it was still pretty yummy!
We got a chocolate cake for dessert with whipped cream+ tea & coffee on the side. Can’t wait to come back. Love that we cam walk here. It’s such a cute place too ☺️☺️

We LOVE Bonnie Day! This is the place we go whenever we want a treat. The food is a billion, trillion on a scale 1 to 10! The service is always great! The folks who work there are SUPER nice! The water is great and filled constantly. Our 8 yr old always orders the Breakfast Bun, (no spicy mayo, no red onion, with melted cheese -substitutions are ok!) They also love the iced hot chocolate but the regular hot chocolate is also fire!
We also love order the avocado toast and whipped feta! Bonnie Day also knows how to make a proper cappuccino… and the pink lemonade is great! (The regular lemonade is also great!) The atmosphere is like a warm, friendly hug from your cool cousin! We highly recommend this place and are grateful that it is in our neighbourhood!

Bonnie Day has become the *only* place I make a weekly habit of going (a development that started summer 2025). The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the lattes/coffees are always good, and they have great local beers if you’re looking for a different kind of beverage. Lovely patio for the more forgiving seasons. I’m a breakfast regular, so im always torn between the great avocado toast, the superb breakfast sandwiches, and the fresh and tasty scones. Service is friendly and engaged.

We went to Bonnie Day to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and wow — what an incredible surprise this place turned out to be. It’s one of those hidden gems that somehow isn’t getting the attention it absolutely deserves and they were open on a Monday night which was a rare find in Winnipeg!
Every dish we tried was phenomenal — the whipped feta was heavenly (I’m still dreaming about it), the tuna tataki was perfectly balanced and fresh, and the meatballs were pure comfort with a gourmet twist. You can taste the passion and creativity in every bite.
A huge shoutout to our server, Jimmy, who made the entire evening even more special. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and the way he described each dish honestly made the whole experience feel like a bit of food romance. His enthusiasm and attention to detail really elevated the night — he clearly loves what he does, and it shows.
Between the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, the amazing food, and the outstanding service, we left already planning our next visit. If you haven’t been to Bonnie Day yet, do yourself a favor and go — this place is truly something special

I’ve had steaks twice as expensive be half as good. It was amazing and the salad dressing was perfect as well I cannot recommend it enough. Had the whipped feta as an appetizer it was topped with flavourful tomatoes and dress garlic bread with a light drizzle of mild chilli oil. On top of the phenomenal food the service was exceptional as well. New favourite spot in Winnipeg

We celebrated a 40th birthday dinner this summer. It was outside on the patio, it’s a cute patio, great space with a pergola. I’m so glad they could accommodate 20 people!!
The service was fantastic, very attentive staff. They take pride in the food they serve, every dish was filled with fresh ingredients and delicious flavours, everyone loved it.
My favourite is the pizza, you must try a pizza.
The pricing is very affordable, I highly recommend this restaurant.

It’s a pretty rare find. It’s a good neighborhood restaurant that isn’t purely ethnic food. It’s a casual place but still felt warm, clean and inviting. Service was excellent. They accommodated us walking in without reservations for a quick dinner on a Friday evening. We both enjoyed our dishes tremendously.

I was in during the holidays to visit my forever home. My longtime friends and I had dinner at Bonnie Day. Wow. It was so impressive! The food ( whipped feta appie is seriously a must) Our entree was clearly made with love. Service was great. I love that type of restaurant that you know the staff hang out after work and care for each other. Atmosphere is so inviting. Can’t wait to come visit in the summer and hang on that patio. Don’t usually comment on restrooms but that wall art is so cool. You know that the owners must be proud Manitoba folk. I’ve told all my friends who will listen. Go to Bonnie Day if you want to have a good time.
