We went on a Tuesday evening. Karyn calabrese was there and made a point of coming over to say hello. You order at the counter (with raw items in the cooler) and they bring the food to you. There were not a lot of drink options. We ordered the fried chuk sandwich with potatoes and coleslaw and the Southern comfort meal with beef. The southern comfort came out first and there was a good ten minutes between that arriving and the chik sandwich coming. That being said, the food was delicious. There are samples of the raw items available as well.

Karyn’s kitchen has delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere. Karyn is usually there and will strike up a conversation with you while you wait. I recommend anyone to give this restaurant a try! I am not plant based, but my husband is. I enjoyed the food just as much! I had the Southern Comfort plate. Most delicious!

I throughly enjoyed the food at this vegan restaurant. I got the southern comfort jerk chicken and it was amazing! A bit spicy but perfect! My man got the comfort style rib tips & we got lasagna roles. I give this place a 10 out of 10 stars for tasty food!

I tried the meat lovers pizza, chocolate brownie and loaded potato wedges. The pizza was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had!! The brownie was also super good and tasted like a moist chocolate cake. I will definitely be coming back the food was so fresh and delicious.

I really wish I had a better review. First time eating here. I ordered the southern comfort. The mac was pretty bland, greens were bitter, rice&beans were ok, and the bbq tips were good. Would I say this was worth 18$ not at all. On a better note the staff was extremely helpful.

The jerk sandwich is fire. I was sucking the flavor from my fingers and felt like I was on a flavorcoaster with each flavor as it settled on my tongue. Will be back weekly for sure.

I’ve been here for dinner twice already, it’s so good! The first time I had the veggie pizza and it great! TONS of crisp veggie toppings and delicious crust. I brought a group with me the next time. My guests didn’t even realize that they were eating vegan! The food is fantastic and made to order, so plan to spend a bit of time while they craft your meal. Yum!

I waited all day to indulge into the meat lovers pizza (18.00) 3/10 and Italian garlic bites (7.00) 9/10
TBH I was disappointed the pizza is more like a flat bread (2 people serving) it had an unusual textured cheese that I’ve never had & minimal flavor. The Italian garlic bites are thin slices of bread filled with flavor (3 people serving) very light & good.
Overall I would visit MS. Karyn’s kitchen again and try something different.

What a jewel of a restaurant to have in the SW Burbs! Karyn & her hubby have been in the health game forever and have mastered healthy with delicious eating. If you are still trying to figure that out, then don’t waste any more time on it. Just go there to eat soon!
She also runs a full spa next door, and the restaurant also does cooking demos, too. Get your body and mind nourished in one location!
The service was also friendly and fast. We went there with a gang of 6 and attacked the place like some wild, hungry locus, ordering some of everything on the menu and they served it all up quick and hot.
My only criticism would be the serve up on better plates other than the cheappie paper ones but that is not enough of a drawback to keep me out this joint!

I love that this is a new option for food in Flossmoor. I have been 4 times and appreciate how nice the owner is. I have had the black bean burger 3 times and I have to say that the first time it was the best. It went downhill after that first experience. The fries are oversaturated with pepper and the most recent time my burger was flat out burnt to a crisp. I’m hoping this was a one off and I still plan to support this business.
