Let me just say my recent visit to Gen Korean BBQ was awesome, Andrew K our server is the real MVP. From the moment we walked in, he served us with a smile that could light up the whole restaurant. Seriously, this guy was great! He literally showed no annoyingness over us ordering so much! Great experience and great Food!

Andrew was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, he made sure our experience was top-notch. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly quick to check on us, making sure we always had everything we needed. Andrew explained the menu, gave great recommendations, and kept the grill going so we could just relax and enjoy the food.
You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in his work. Service like his really makes the whole dining experience stand out. If you come here, definitely ask for Andrew he’ll take great care of you!

“Disappointing experience — I really tried to give them a chance.”
I usually don’t like leaving bad reviews, and I actually waited about a month to see if I’d move on from this experience — but honestly, I still can’t forget how bad it was. I would give them minus stars if I could.
First, the kimchi fried rice was not fried rice at all. It was more like steamed, soggy rice soaked in kimchi juice with barely any actual kimchi in it. Just unpleasant.
Then, the grill situation was even worse. The new grill design burns all the marinated meats almost instantly, and when I asked for a grill change (like every other KBBQ place does), I was told they don’t change grills anymore due to “new policy.” Instead, they gave me a piece of radish (shown in the picture) to clean the grill. And apparently, the customers are expected to do it — not the servers.
Sorry, but when I go to a restaurant, I don’t expect to be scrubbing my own grill. I was literally scrubbing so hard and went through 3 radishes that I had a 현타 moment wondering why I paid to do this.
Ironically, the non-grill menu items were the only decent part of the meal — the katsu and hoddeok were okay, but that’s not what you go to Korean BBQ for.
Overall, just a really disappointing experience. Between the burnt meat, the DIY grill cleaning, and the sad “fried” rice, I definitely won’t be coming back.

There was a huge array of entrees to pick from and we tried the bulgogi fries, Hawaiian steak, shrimp, dragon shrimp dish, and other steaks here and there. The marinade and quality was up there and would come back !

I had an amazing experience at this Korean BBQ restaurant, and a big part of it was thanks to Ramon. He is a really great server—super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything at our table was perfect from start to finish. He checked on us often, made great recommendations, and made the whole experience even better.
On top of that, Ramon is very good-looking and somehow looks even better every minute! Great service, great atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be coming back. If you visit, ask for Ramon—you won’t regret it!

I had such a wonderful experience today. My server jesus was a great help very friendly and attentive he made sure everything was taken care of from the moment I sat down he refilled our drinks every so often our food came out within a timely manner. He made sure to check on us just the right times without seeming like he was being overbearing. What made this experience so much better was how helpful he was with the menu it takes me forever to pick what I want to eat and he took time to explain what was good and what to stay away from. Jesus truly went above and beyond today to make sure the food was enjoyable. DEFINITELY COMING BACK!!!!!!

Just tried Gen Korean BBQ and it was an awesome experience. The atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly and quick to help, and the food was amazing. Being able to grill the meat right at the table made it really fun, and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The marinated meats were definitely the highlight, and the sides kept coming so you never ran out of things to try.
If you like Korean BBQ or just want a fun place to eat with friends or family, I definitely recommend checking out Gen BBQ. Great food, great vibe, and worth the visit. ️
