I have no idea how the food is, all I know is I’m sitting outside the restaurant right now with the open sign on and they’re closed 40 minutes early with the doors locked. There is a large number of staff inside. Maybe they’re having a meeting. Not gonna lie little disappointed.
I am editing this review because I have now been able to go when they are open. The staff was excellent. The food is decent. The chicken Parmesan was stringy.

We ordered take out from here since it was 4 mins from the hotel we were staying at and got the Sicilian pizza and the Philly cheese steak pizza. My boyfriend said the Sicilian pizza was pretty good but the other one was just kinda sad and not good. Crust was kinda soggy and we asked for no mushrooms but still found some on the pizza. Over all I wouldn’t waste my money getting pizza from there again when there are many other options around.

Had dinner at Falcone’s tonight with friends. Everyone’s food was delicious and plentiful! We had garlic knots and bruschetta to start, then meals of chicken saltimbocca, Southport shrimp and scallops, chicken florentina and penne Anastasia. Desserts of tiramisu and chocolate cake were excellent. Our waitress Patience was attentive and helpful. We would definitely return.

Been here 3 times and the food has been amazing. They make the best MeatLover pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve had it twice. Last trip I had the Lasagne and it was wonderful. The garlic knots are addicting. It’s not a super fancy place but the food and service has been A+. Oh yea, we had a great Caesar salad also.

December 2024: it’s still pretty good food, they give you a lot, but they have only one working oven, only one pizza maker, and wait staff that can’t pay attention to their surroundings, can’t remove the dishes from the table leaves you the bill while you’re still eating and it’s hard to get a hold of when you wanted a second drink.
This was a wonderful place to try for dinner. They have a lot of variety, and plenty of seating. The service was on point, clearing away dishes as we finished dish after dish of delicious food. The tiramisu was spectacular, the pizza was thin and crispy like we wanted it and you can order it thick or you can order it then but they were not skimp on the cheese and that was what was wonderful about that pie. You get a lot of food at this restaurant so don’t be surprised at the prices when you’re going to be bringing home food for more meals later on in the week. Delicioso!

If you are hungry this is the place to go. The meal portion was so huge it was ridiculous. We spent about $20 each and certainly got our money’s worth. I’m not complaining- I love taking home leftovers! They mixed up our side pasta orders, but the waitress was lovely and we did not want to send the food back. The people there were friendly, the food was heavy and good, we left with food and we had a good time!

I had lunch here recently. It’s an extremely popular place, so arriving after the usual lunch crowd meant no wait for a table. I ordered a small meatball Parmesan sandwich. It was delicious- and decidedly not small. I happily took home half for lunch the next day! Always a great meal at Falcone’s.

Dined in here last week and waited 45 mins for food. We still didn’t receive the food because our waitress spent 30 mins at the table next to us flirting with the guys there.
She then came to us and said the chef forgot to put our order in. The chef comes out and asks to speak to her and she is still cackling with that table of men. Then her boss came and of course she’s still talking to them. Eventually she does her job and we got our food to go. They actually charged us after the terrible hour long service. Not to mention, when we took our food home, hair was in It. This place is a joke and I never complain but I would seriously think about giving your money away to this establishment.

Tried Falcone’s because almost nothing is open in Southport or Oak Island after 8 pm and in the off season even more so…. It was so convenient to all the local hotels and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We have spent enough time in the northeast to know what homemade fantastic Italian food can be and this was excellent! We met regulars who were locals and raved over their favorites. Just watching the orders get delivered to other tables was enjoyable as we eyed bubbly hot pizza pies of just the right thickness and calzones and other mouthwatering entrees! We settled on Shrimp scampi because it was dairy free as well as Chicken Marsala that was easily enough to split (as we did alongside a large order of garlic knots and an extra side salad). Every bite was amazing!!! It took a few minutes to wait for the hot out of the oven garlic bread but it was 100% worth it! While we waited the server had brought a basket of a sliced crusty baguette with oil/vinegar to munch on as well. The server was top of her game even at the end of the day. She anticipated our needs, kept our glasses full, and was completely knowledgeable without hesitation regarding our food allergy questions. If you have ever had such an attentive excellent server who keeps you informed of your meal status in the kitchen, you know just how much better the meal experience at a restaurant can be. You can choose to sit on the more casual side open to the bar and kitchen or sit in the more intimate softly lit dining room behind that has the feeling of celebration of occasion and memorable conversation. We were privileged to meet the owner as we left and thank him for such a delicious meal even as we closed out the restaurant. Nothing was too much bother for this team to make our visit the best it could be. We were SO pleased and cannot wait to eat again at Falcone’s! Take out would be a great value as we saw several guests lined up to carry out. The quality of freshly prepared food and generous portions make this a restaurant to put on speed dial for anytime you need a little comfort food to go while also drawing you in for date night or family dinner after a day at the beach depending which room you choose to sit in. What a great restaurant to discover in our favorite small town! Homemade cake like they make here is an exceptional treat—reminiscent of the fabulous Italian bakeries in Philly, NJ or NY. Five stars from us all around! Enjoy!
