I looked up the best fried chicken in Bend and this place came up everywhere. We ended up ordering chicken and jojos, which were amazing! The 12 piece is enough for 3-4 people, and there were 2 of us…

Local pub, everything you would expect. Cold beers and good cocktails. The sandwichs are pretty awesome. Nice place to be comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Definitely a dive bar. Don’t expect a menu as they have a menu board which itself is pretty basic for items.(picture included). Apparently they have a rule where if you order a beer and a shot, you gotta drink the shot prior to leaving the bar for some “law” the bartender said there was. Im from outta town so im unsure of rule but ive never had to do that at any bar ive been to.

On Christmas Day we experienced something truly special at Cascade West Grub & Alehouse.

They opened their doors and welcomed the community with a complimentary holiday dinner — not as a promotion, not for attention, but simply as an act of kindness. The food was hearty and comforting, the atmosphere relaxed and genuine, and the staff treated everyone like family.

What stood out most wasn’t just the meal, but the feeling: neighbors sitting together, strangers exchanging smiles, people who might otherwise be alone on Christmas sharing a table. It reminded us what a real town feels like.

Cascade West is more than a pub — it’s part of the soul of Bend. If you ever have the chance to visit, go with gratitude. Places like this deserve our respect and support.

Ahhh yes good old CW! This Bar is part of old Bend. If you like the vibe of this town pre-New-Bend then this place is for you! Or if you would like to feel like you entered a portal to the past this is the place. It’s been serving locals for as long as I can remember. This is basically a historical site, so drink ,visit and remember all the beers you have shared with friends there and all the friends who have done the same for generations. Now that’s old Bend so enjoy !!

Well… I’ve only been here three times but every time, it smells like vomit and urine I wish they would get someone to clean better? Or idk some vents/ grates in the men’s room I’m guessing because it wasn’t the ladies room when I used the restroom once. It’s faint, but It’s really off-putting, I think they would be one of the better bars if they addressed the stank issues. Every time, i was hoping it would be a fluke but three times over the course of maybe or 4 months and still the same smell. The wood counter bar-top also could use some attention. I know it’s a dive bar but it stinks bad, I even asked someone else while there to confirm that it wasn’t just me and they agreed. Please take care of this guys, it’s just the porta-potty bar in my head now and I would love to come back but am afraid lol — otherwise service was kind, Drinks poured well, (haven’t eaten there but wouldn’t as of now.) Also maybe another pool table? Every time it’s like 30 college kids surrounding it; not easy to get a game in.

Very cool low key place for a blue collar or college crowd. Pool tables, poker, pinball, and a full bar with plenty of taps. Pretty dark and a couple TV’s to watch sports. Service was friendly. Drinks were good. Great location near other places too. Overall cool place to drop in and relax..

We came in on New Year’s Eve around 4 p.m., and when my mom tried to order, the woman at the bar did not make any effort to listen to her. My mom has had a couple of strokes, which affects her speech, and even after my mom tried to explain this, the bartender ignored her and said she was not going to serve her.

We have never had issues like this at other bars, and we intentionally came in during a non-busy time. I would understand frustration if it were crowded, but it wasn’t. A little patience and understanding would have gone a long way, and the interaction came across as unnecessarily rude and dismissive.

I stopped in this Friday morning to have a bite to eat. I ordered the fish tacos. They were excellent, fresh ingredients, spicy, and very tasty. Kudos to the crew. Friendly service.
