Haven’t been here in over 6 years.. Glad I went back. The new interior face lift looks great and provides a clean and updated ambiance. Good food with plenty of different options. Service was great. Seated right away, no empty dishes at the buffet with fresh food continuously coming out. This place is much better than the last time I visited. You can tell they care about the service they provide. Highly recommend checking it out

Food is always excellent. Hot and fresh. Many assortments to try. Hot and sour soup is always my favorite. Very nice dessert and fruit/vegetable assortment, with frozen yogurt machine. Staff is always pleasant and courteous. Prices are consistent with current local restaurant establishments. If you like Chinese food, definitely give China Star Buffet a try.

What a fun little surprise! My guilty pleasure? A Chinese buffet. The outside looked small and shabby, but inside felt much bigger. The food was really good. It was busy so the food was turning over pretty quickly – we came at 1:30 on a Sunday. We got a seat right away even though it was busy. The staff was friendly and I would definitely go back.

We travel over an hour to come to this buffet! Its one of the best buffets in 100 miles. They recently remodeled and its absolutely awesome. The staff is always attentive and remember you after 1 or 2 visits. The food is worth the travel for our family and everything else is a plus! Always hot and fresh ingredients everytime we’ve dined there. Don’t hesitate just show up and eat!

I love Chinese food and this is MY fav restaurant in the area. The food is fresh and hot and a great variety. I loved everything, but the coconut chicken is beyond good. Every dish has its own flavor. The staff was great and the bathroom clean. TRY IT!!

I visited China Star yesterday, and the entire experience was extremely disappointing. The food quality has dropped dramatically nothing tasted fresh, and the overall flavor and preparation were far below what this restaurant used to offer. The portion sizes have also been cut significantly. The plates are now about half the size they used to be, and the amount of food served does not match the price at all.
What made things even worse was the customer service. The staff was very rude, dismissive, and acted irritated any time a question or concern was raised. There was absolutely no professionalism or basic courtesy.
Based on what I observed during my visit, I genuinely have concerns about the restaurant’s cleanliness and overall handling of food. In my opinion, it would be a good idea for the health department to take a close look at this place to ensure everything is up to standard.
I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, I will not be returning. China Star needs serious improvements in food quality, portion sizes, customer service, and general cleanliness.
