Food was fresh and light. Our server yesterday… he was super wonderful and always checking in. I had the blue corn huarache with nopal and asada, and it was delicious. I like their fresh green salsa as well. Cute patio. Fun dia de los muertos decor. My new go to Mexican place! My friend had a marg and the birria. Good lunch specials.

I am surprised with how many good reviews this restaurant has. Every single item we received was disappointing. The flavor and presentation did not meet the menus descriptions. The food was lacking flavor and skimped on ingredients. They provided a very small dollop of sour cream and avocado for the entire meal, and when I asked for another side of sour cream, they charged $1.50. I would not recommend coming here. You can get much better Mexican food elsewhere.

Delicious! Don’t let the outside of the building deter you. It’s a real cute little restaurant inside. Yummy salsa and warm chips to start and my husband and I both had one of their burritos. YAYY, finally some spicy green chile! We loved it! Although I may ask for half regular green chile and half spicy next time – yes, it was that hot! Definitely going back to try other items.

The location is great for eating, then walking off the food shopping. The service was first class. And then there was the food….
The lunch specials were an outstanding value. But, the flavor and taste of the food did not suffer for it.
The drinks were delicious, and everything was priced fairly.

I’m originally from Los Angeles and have been on the look out for a GREAT Mexican restaurant. Living in Arvada, I haven’t been lucky in finding what I’m looking for until now. This birrieria in Lakewood is exactly what I’ve been searching for. I ordered a birria plate and my partner ordered a birria torta. We were both impressed with the flavors!!! This is an authentic Mexican restaurant with an extensive food and drink menu. The food is absolutely delicious from the chips and salsa, to the main course and the dessert flan!
Additionally, I want to give a shout out to our waitress Leticia. She was absolutely amazing and had great energy! Made me feel right at home:)
We will absolutely come back to continue trying their other dishes!

Friendly staff. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is what you expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant with nice art work on the walls. Food was good but not quite excellent. They seem to play it safe with seasonings. Flavors are comfortable and traditional Mexican food (not Tex-Mex). This is the type of place you’d go back to and definitely patronize and recommend to others. So, you’ll return but may not rant and rave about it or discuss it as being “the” place that you need to try for Mexican food in Lakewood, CO.
