Hello, and welcome to 850 Barbecue! We are so excited to have you as a customer. We are a family, and Veteran owned company. I am Stephen, my wife and daughter are Nicole and Lexi respectively. For the past several years we have spent a lot of time, and went through a lot of meat, perfecting the art of Texas Style Barbecue. We have created some recipes that we believe are game changers for both this time, and the local food scene for our area. And we are ecstatic to be able to share our passion with you. So join us for a tall, cold bottle of sweet tea, stand around the firebox and we will tell you some stories! Of how a small town man fell in love with Texas Barbecue, and brought it back home to Milton, Fl!

The brisket was the standout, the most flavorful and tender I’ve ever had, with a perfect bark and not a hint of dryness. The pulled pork was smoky and juicy, the spare ribs were fall-off-the-bone with amazing seasoning, and even the chicken thighs (which can be tricky to keep moist) were cooked to perfection. Honestly, nothing on the plate disappointed, every bite was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Mac Attack Bowl was comfort food heaven, with rich, creamy mac and cheese loaded up with smoked meat. The “Smoked Tallow Noodles” were incredible! The portions were also generous enough to easily feed 2 people and at $15 is a great value!
On top of the food, the people running 850 BBQ were friendly, welcoming, and super accommodating. I was actually the guy who ordered right when their food truck got hit and broke a pipe that night, and even in the middle of dealing with that, they handled it with professionalism and kindness. The food came out in approximately 5 minutes which was insanely fast, especially when compared to other food trucks.
I’ll definitely be back for more and look forward to seeing them again at Food Truck Friday! The food, the service, and the experience all live up to their motto: “It’ll change ya life.”
EDITED – They recently changed the price for the Mac Attack Bowl from $15 to $18 and the portions seemed slightly smaller, more geared towards a single person instead of two. Still a wonderful dish but less of a value unfortunately.
UPDATE: ordered the banana pudding and it was simply outrageous. I was blown away by how good it was.
My wife and I have been seeking some good BBQ in the area after coming from Texas and although it was tough to make our schedule work with the hours of the food truck, it was very very well worth it. We got a three meat plate of brisket, spare ribs, and turkey. All three were the best we’ve had in Florida and on par with the top places we’ve had in Texas. Not pictured are two pork belly burnt ends which were the best I’ve had (even better than the one’s I’ve babied myself on my own smoker I’m embarrassed to say.) I’m not particular excited about BBQ sides myself normally, but the mac n’ cheese and the watermelon salad were both excellent as well.
The owner is a master scholar of his craft and takes his BBQ seriously. We will most certainly be coming back!
Everything was really tasty! Would definitely come back. The sweet heat was my favorite sauce, not really any heat but very tasty. It was a little pricey but so is everything else nowadays.it was quick and the owner was very nice and introduced himself.
Moral of the story I really hope they were just having a bad night because that much grease was borderline inedible and possibly ruined my clothes.
