Always a great experience at this outstanding Cantonese eatery. Ricky is a friendly host and the waitstaff is accommodating. We went for the 2026 Lunar New Year. Soup, fish, noodles, vegetables and the star of the evening Peking duck…all great tasting! It’s a must go to for traditional Chinese food. Go for dim sum too! Located inside the Residence Inn, parking validated.

I enjoyed the dim soon and so did my dinner guest. But the regular food really was sort of Chinese takeout like some weird combinations. Not that much flavor. The place looks a little run down. Empty fish tank. It’s just got a very weird vibe

Found this Chinese spot close and decided to give it a try. The food was really good — tasty and fresh! The only downside was the service. We ended up waiting over an hour because the buzzer didn’t work, and ordering was kind of confusing since you have to scan a code (first time there, so we had no idea). They even added an extra dish we didn’t order, and when we asked, the staff wasn’t too friendly. Other than that, my family and I enjoyed the food a lot. I’d come back just for the food!

I recently dined at Aberdeen Restaurant in White Plains, NY, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, offering a perfect setting for both casual and special occasions. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations that enhanced our dining experience.

The menu at Aberdeen is a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing the best of Cantonese cuisine with a modern twist. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The Dim Sum selection is a must-try; it’s easily some of the best I’ve had outside of Asia. The Peking Duck was another standout, perfectly cooked with crispy skin and tender meat.

What truly sets Aberdeen apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service provided, making it a great value.

I highly recommend Aberdeen Restaurant to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience in White Plains. It’s a culinary gem that shouldn’t be missed. Five stars aren’t enough to describe the impeccable service, exquisite food, and welcoming atmosphere of this restaurant. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We were happy with the Cantonese-style dim sum options – they had many of our favourites. Enter via the Marriott entrance. Admittedly, while ordering via a QR code at the table was efficient, I did miss the traditional bustle of dim sum carts. All in all, this restaurant is a decent option for dim sum in Westchester. Service was friendly and accommodating.

As I meandered through the lively streets of downtown White Plains, I decided to ask passersby about their favorite Asian food haunt. Over and over, Aberdeen Sea Food and Dim Sum was highly recommended. To my delight, their suggestions did not fall short. Located conveniently at the bottom of Residence Inn, the restaurant was buzzing with activity. I indulged in their flavorful Hot and Sour Soup, generously filled with an array of vegetables, Shu Mai, and delectable Shrimp Fried Rice.

There isn’t much in the area for traditional Dim Sum cuisine. Ratings were good and I remembered having a decent meal here years ago.

I heard another patron welcoming her guests to what she described the “best” dim sum in Westchester county which might be better phrased as the ‘only’ dim sum experience? I can’t verify this but was eager to have a decent option that did not involve driving into Chinatown, Flushing in Queens and parts of Brooklyn and New Jersey along the Rt 46 corridor.

My family takes our dim sum experiences seriously and I’m sad to say this did not live up to the hype this time around.

We arrived as a party of 4 as they opened on Sunday at 11:30 am and were seated right away. The ordering process is hi-tech in that you scan QR code at the table with your phone, browse and select the items you wish to order and then the food arrives shortly to your table because the QR code indicates where the order originated from.

Most establishments in Chinatown, Flushing, Brooklyn etc would have been quite busy as dim sum is big amongst the Asian community on the weekends but the restaurant was barely full after about an hour. This is relevant later in my review.

Some items came right away, I would say about 6 dishes out of the 15 plates that were ordered. Glasses of water were filled and a pot of tea was offered.

Occasionally the wait staff would pass by and pick up the gathered empty plates that we left at the edge of the table as well as offered a refill of several waters.

This is where the service ended for us as we finished the portions in about 10
minutes and waited another 30 minutes or more for the rest of the food. Nobody came back to refill the waters and the pot of tea had long since been emptied.

Finally, a waiter came to check on us – probably because we had our disappointed faces on. He checked the receipt that they clip to the Covid barrier to see what we were still waiting for. The rest of the food eventually came after a quick review of what they already delivered after another 5 or 10 minutes. However, I had to stop another waiter to ask for the waters to be refilled – pointing the the empty glasses so had placed at the tables edge.

The staples of any dim sum cuisine for us are the egg custards and roast pork buns which were hugely disappointing due to their tiny proportions – barely bite sized. While the tiny baked pork buns had a tasty filling, there was so little of it and the egg custards were just a tiny joke. The crust was not buttery but leaned on the chalky flavorless side.

Based on those disappointments and the poor service given on this day I am giving a 3 star review.

The other dishes were fine, if not for the poor service I would have happily given a 4 star as a passable experience but there was no reason other than perhaps their ordering system does not have a way to check that the entire order has been fulfilled. It was not really that busy as the restaurant was not at capacity with many tables still vacant at around 12:30, an hour after they opened and we were seated.

Firstly, be there when they open at 11:30am and have a reservation. They are inside the Residence Inn. Otherwise you’ll have up to an hour wait.
Service is excellent, place is smallish compared to most Dim Sum restaurant. You order on your phone and the food comes out fairly quick.
The food is not bad, but not the best Dim Sum I’ve had. Being from Connecticut, it’s the closest Dim Sum without going to Chinatown.
It’s clean and decent enough!
