It’s not very often I feel a place needs a review, but this little cafe deserves a darn good one. I have to say my morning was truly made walking inside at 6:30Am and seeing a table of local guys shooting bull and drinking coffee. Made it feel like I was walking in the diner back home in Missouri. I drive a truck for a living and have ate in many of restaurants breakfast joints and diners, but this little cafe is by far my new favorite. I don’t get to Texas super often but when I’m down here in Seymour I can assure you I’ll make a point to stop by and get a good hot meal.
Parking area is great I was the only RT there over night it’s a gravel/dusty lot but it’s clean drivers if ya stop in you won’t be disappointed!!!!
Thanks agin rock inn cafe !!!!!!!!

What a nice little Cafe in Seymour Texas.
Absolutely nice Service, best coffee for me on my Roadtrip. I ordered Pancake with Nutella and it was so delicious.
The building is over 100 years old and the Diner has his own charm ✨️

Literally ordered over 40 minutes ago. Finally my daughter’s plate came out and still waiting for our plates as she finished her meal. Drink sat for 15 minutes until they brought my daughter’s food and I asked the server for a refill.. haven’t seen the waitress since we ordered.. and it’s not that busy. it’s official she has finished her food and 50 minutes later we still do not have our food.. finally got the food and the order was wrong. Didn’t want to send it back for fear of not getting it back.. the bathrooms were disgusting and non functional as the toilets was full and not flushing. Super disappointing

3 of us waited 50 minutes in an almost empty restaurant for all of our meals to be served COLD. Tiny chicken fried steak, cold mashed potatoes and okra, and our other plates were cold too.
It’s a shame that such a great place has been run into the ground.

Older restaurant built in the 1930’s. Friendly staff & quick service! The taco salad was one of the best I’ve ever had! My husband loved his chicken fried steak & hand breaded onion rings were outstanding!

Enjoyed a late breakfast here (served all day). A local named Benny recommended this breakfast bowl with avocado, potatoes, eggs, etc. Friendly staff, affordable prices.

This is a great little diner. You may believe a diner can’t be 4 or 5 stars, but for the quality of food and price compared to similar restaurants, this is very good. We ordered the Dairy Mart #4 (chili cheeseburger) and the Grilled Chicken Club. The food came out fast and the sandwiches were hot. I had to take off one star because I was looking forward to the hand-cut fries, but they came out cold. Bummer. The portions were nice and prices fair. We will return hoping for hot fries.

Like I have said before. I’m just an old truck driver, in search of the best hamburger steaks, and other delights across the country. And this hamburger steak definitely makes the list. I got here less than an hour before they closed, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, and my meal was served, hot, fresh, and in a very timely manner. And, the food was perfect. If you are ever in Seymour TX I highly recommend the rock Inn Cafe. When ever possible, please support small local businesses. Cracker Barrel can live another day without you. Many small businesses can not.

$18 for 4 steak fingers and onion rings, no drink. Comes with extra grease. Dairy Queen is right down the road, can get ice cream too for that price, with a drink.

This cute little hole in the wall is definitely worth making a stop for. We were passing through and really enjoyed the food and the friendly customer service. One downfall they have is the speed at which they fix the food. It took 45 min to get our food. If you have the time to wait, this is definitely worth it!
