We’ve been eyeing this place for a long time but since it’s a hike from home we never went, until today. We got a dark meat tub which came with fries & slaw. We also got a chicken strip basket for the kids & a chocolate dipped cone.
The chicken was pretty good, it was almost too salty because of what I assume is their brine. A little honey on it balanced it out though. However it was crispy & tasty. The service was great, there were plenty of people ready to take orders & keep lines down. The kids loved the strip basket which is a plus too. Overall it’s a great chicken spot if you’re on this side of the river however if you’re looking for the best you can find I’d still give the nod to Bernie’s.
I will add the ice cream was hands down the best we’ve found in midlands so far. It was light which was refreshing.

My second visit to this place and it’s so good! I’ve had their hotdogs and cheeseburgers and I give them 5 stars. They make everything fresh and their tea is the perfect “southern sweet tea”. The staff is friendly and it’s such a clean restaurant.

A tall ice cream cone display on the top of the building caught our attention so we decided to check it out. Two entrances, one to a sit down restaurant and one for carry iut only. The place was packed and a revolving door of customers! The food looked and smelled delicious. We bought a dipped cone and enjoyed our treat. Recommend if you are in the area.

Stopped by Zestos tonight about a hour and thirty minutes before closing I wanted some of their famous chicken I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! The chicken wings I ordered tonight was not fresh, not crispy, instead they were old and limp the skin was rubbery and very greasy and tasted like old grease not to mention the fries was old, hard and cold! The last meal served should be just as good as the first one served! Very disappointed

The burger and fries were great 10/10
I didn’t care much for the coleslaw it came with 6/10
The chicken was on the salty side but it was perfectly fried and crispy 8/10 (would be 10/10 if it wasn’t so salty)
The icecream was 9/10

Everything about Zesto’s is great. The employees are always friendly, quick, ready to take your order or answer any questions. They’re always smiling and they make everyone feel welcome.
The food is awesome, they have the best chicken anywhere. It’s always fresh, hot and tastes so good. I’ve never been able to make it home without eating a piece of chicken or eating the fries and I don’t live far away. It’s all so good.
The restaurant is always clean including the parking lot and someone is always wiping tables or picking up any fallen trash. Just walking in the door makes you hungry because it smells so good inside. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love Zesto’s.

After working a nine hour shift in the freezing cold, I called in and order to the Zesto’s on 12th St. in West Columbia, and when I got there, the particular piece of chicken that I wanted was sold out even though it was close to closing, they went out of their way to prepare my order fresh, and it was probably the best chicken I have ever had in my life, the service was impeccable, every countertop door, window and floor with shining like the place was brand new. I love the way they take pride in their customer service, cleanliness & Pleasant Attitude every single time I go there. People always take time to call and complain, but not too many call to say thank you for great service. Thanks Zestos for always providing great service!! (And fantastic chicken!)

Hands down the best fried chicken in Columbia and I love the coleslaw recipe. Service is always amazing and staff are always happy and helpful. When I want fried chicken and coleslaw there is nowhere else I want to go.
