Get the hot honey and thank me later!!!
My husband and I started with the artichoke dip, and now I’ll never be able to venture out and order anything else because I love it so much. Dare I say it’s the best artichoke dip I’ve ever had?
We decided to order two pizzas, the California Sunrise and then the Hot Honey calzone style. The California Sunrise was really good, but the Hot Honey blew it out of the water with its intense flavor.
When we go back, we’re ordering TWO artichoke dips and TWO hot honey calzone/pizzas!

Bonus points if your tour guide on this adventure is Rylie K, our awesome waitress, who made sure we survived the journey happy and full.

My daughter was visiting Utah during her winter break from college, and her one request was a trip to Slackwater! We’re regulars at the Sandy location, but we hadn’t visited the Ogden spot since the move. It is honestly even better than before—the space feels so much more open and inviting.
As always, the food was perfect. We can never go wrong with the Check Yo’ Garlic Breath appetizer and a couple of beers to start. For the main event, the Tikkachu is hands-down my favorite (ordered with no onions, extra cilantro, and extra rice). It’s so good that my husband and adult kids all ordered the exact same thing! We’ve never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend!

Really good pizza with unique options. The BBQ was a really good and safe option for most anyone. The tikkachu was great too. Gyro pizza was good but I liked the other two better. Cubano sandwich was good.

We are regulars here and they are consistently great! Love the pizzas, calzones, and specials. Their crust is amazing. Try anything with buffalo + blue cheese dressing. Highly recommend.

Slackwater Pizza, where my heart AND my pizza got tossed in the air like dough
Walking into Slackwater in Ogden felt like stepping into a cheese monastery, where every server has sworn a sacred oath to deliver holy mozzarella miracles. I ordered a pizza so good it should’ve come with a warning label like: “May cause uncontrollable sighing and mild emotional attachment.”
The crust? Crispier than my dad’s jokes and lighter than my willpower around carbs. The toppings? They didn’t “top” anything—they dominated. I took one bite and immediately understood why Utahns talk about this place like it’s a spiritual awakening.
At one point, my pizza slice folded over like a taco and I swear it whispered, “I’ll never let you go.” Sorry Jack from Titanic—Slackwater actually means it.
I left feeling saucier, cheesier, and way more committed to this restaurant than any relationship I’ve ever had. If loving Slackwater is wrong, I don’t wanna be right… or gluten-free.
10/10 would dough it again.

Food was decent. Pizza was undercooked but flavorful. Just didnt match the description. Nothing (fire) about it [not spicy]
Diablo sticks were mild at best, but very flavor filled. Good cheese proportions, could have been cooked longer. Everything seemed soggy, but tasted fine.
Service was great, waitress was on it!
Atmosphere was ok, was a little to loud for our party. The acoustics there are horrible.
All in all this time around 3.75 out of 5.
