I checked out the new McDonald’s in town. I went for lunch and ate in. I ordered a Filet-O-Fish, fries, and an iced vanilla latte. The food was nice and hot – fries were a little over done though, that’s my one minor complaint. The sandwich was very tasty as was the latte. The restaurant was very clean and I liked the modern decor. Service was quick too. My order was ready very quickly. Overall, I was very pleased and would visit this location again.

Ordered a 2 orders of the 40 piece chicken nuggets paid 53.00 bucks to get 40 nuggets that are 14.98 and 2 baskets of fries 4.98 each .. can’t call the store no number listed can’t contact the Uber driver they don’t answer!!! Horrible

Literally writing this as I stand waiting for someone to show up at the counter. I can see people working in the back, I can see that they see me, and the place is empty. I ordered like 15 minutes ago on the app and nothing is happening, my order is nowhere to be picked up. How does this happen? I don’t get it. Took 5 minutes of standing at the counter to even be directly addressed.

The coffee was visibly several layers, as if it had been poured but not stirred or swirled at all. There really isn’t any benefit to going to this one over the others when the others seem to be able to prepare your order before you even get there, and this one just shuts down with one order of 5 items.

Say what you want about this being a new location but I find it incredibly difficult to believe that the age of this specific store has anything to do with the quality of service.

I ordered the 2 spicy snack wrap deal at 3:44am. I assume that’s cutting it close to the time that they switch to breakfast but regardless it isn’t a large or difficult order. At this time of night there were very few customers other than myself.

I was not served my food until 4:10am. Maybe they were switching to breakfast and that backed them up a little but that just seems like a ridiculous wait for such a small order. It cannot possibly take over 20 minutes to make 2 snack wraps and fill a drink and a box of fries.

That’s not even the part that irks me. The first woman I spoke to at both windows was pleasant and friendly. On the other hand, the woman who brought my food to car could not have been more quick to drop it through my window and walk off without a word. No “you’re welcome,” not a, “have a goodnight.” Nothing. I find that to be mildly irritating and unbelievably rude after having made me wait almost 30 minutes for food that came out lukewarm.

This is a brand-new store, and I do think things will improve over time, but my experiences so far have been consistently rough.

Service has been very slow on all three of my visits. Long wait times don’t feel like an effort issue from employees—it feels like a staffing and labor-hours problem. Starting pay around $13 an hour isn’t competitive, and it shows in how hard it is to attract and retain enough experienced staff, especially during a new store opening.

On my last visit, there was also a strong chemical smell inside the restaurant. I assume this is related to the building being new, but it definitely impacted the experience and should be addressed quickly.

Customer service basics have been inconsistent. When you’re paying premium prices for fast food, things like sauces, napkins, and straws shouldn’t be forgotten multiple times. Again, this doesn’t feel like employees not caring—it feels like people being rushed, understaffed, and stretched too thin.

This location has potential, but corporate needs to support new stores better with competitive starting wages and adequate labor hours. Without that, even motivated employees are set up to fail, and customers feel it.

This location was a let down. Very small dining room. No play area. No cashiers available only kiosk. no beverage stations for re-fills. Parking is not even close to entrance. Nobody monitors the counter. Sign says to ask for help if needed, but you have to lean over the employee counter and HOPE someone sees you from kitchen. I recommend only using the drive-thru. This is definitely the worst dine-in McDonald’s in San Marcos, New Braunfels, Kyle and Buda.

Terrible service. If you go inside, no one is there to greet you. I ordered and then stood there for 20 minutes waiting for my order. Never saw anyone. They finally come out, put my order on the counter, yell out my number, and quickly walk back into the kitchen. I had to walk into the kitchen to ask for ketchup and jelly. They were very rude. Will NOT be back.

I’ve waited to write this as it’s a new location but after the 4th time it’s just inexcusable. I’ve never had worst experiences at any McDonald’s. Not once has my app worked here, works at any other location. Has gotten my order wrong every time. Has no idea how to customize an order and messes it up every time. And finally, they talk to me with 0 professionalism. Just take the 5 minutes to drive to another location

I went inside and ordered 8 biscuits and coffee and it was out under 5 minutes. I talked with the store manager and they knew that this location is new but even still my food was up to par and service is friendly.
