My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding reception and cocktail hour at Ciro & Sal’s in Provincetown, and it was truly unforgettable. Under twinkling lights and cozy space heaters, we gathered with loved ones to enjoy oysters, meatballs, zucchini, and bruschetta that delighted every guest.

Ciro & Sal’s went above and beyond, setting up a charming outdoor bar in the gazebo, in their patio area, a perfect spot for our welcome speech and the heartfelt toasts from our mothers. Inside, the intimate dining room—complete with two fireplaces and impeccable service—created a warm and elegant atmosphere. With another fireplace upstairs, where many of our friends were seated, conversation and laughter filled the room, drowning out the carefully curated jazz-inspired Spotify playlist I’d made for dinner.

The food was such a hit that several guests returned the very next night for another round of the chicken parm! After dinner, we moved outside for our first dance and the mother-son dances while the staff seamlessly transformed the upstairs into a lively dance floor–with a little help from our local DJ.

The combination of delicious Northern Italian cuisine, inviting ambiance, and attentive service made our celebration truly magical, perfectly capturing the timeless charm Ciro & Sal’s has been known for since the 1950s. With its rustic elegance, flexible indoor and outdoor settings, and exceptional hospitality, Ciro & Sal’s is the ideal venue for any special occasion. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to share such a meaningful milestone with our family and friends—many of whom, proud of their Italian heritage, said Ciro & Sal’s far exceeded their expectations.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on a cold winter night in February. It was one of the most romantic dining experiences I’ve ever had, I will never forget it. Silence in the streets, we walked down a small path that led to Ciro & Sals. We were greeting with twinkling lights and a door that led into the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever been in. The dim lighting, the decorations, the fireplaces, and music truly made me feel like I was in Italy! There were only two other people dining, and within 15 minutes we had the place to ourselves. (The pleasure of being year rounders in the dead of winter and I wouldn’t have it any other way.) Our waitress was kind and helped us with all the questions we had. I also loved the N.A. beer I had, it was a Peroni. Food was delicious and thoughtfully plated. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful spot with such a cozy garden patio and a lively dining room inside. The vibe here feels like classic Provincetown charm.

Food wise, my seafood dish was absolutely on point, super fresh and full of flavor, exactly what you’d hope for at a Cape Cod Italian spot. The chicken pasta was good too, but I was expecting just a bit more sauce to tie it all together. Still, both plates were generous and satisfying.

Overall, a great experience with warm atmosphere, friendly energy, and delicious seafood. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in town!

Nice Italian spot with good options. Service was nice. Extensive wine list. Vibes were nice, a little dressy.

Loved the fried zucchini appetizer and calamari. Main courses were fine. Too much time between the courses made it feel like we were forgotten. Linguini Vongole was forgettable.

We have wanted to eat here for a while because we’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I know people who have eaten here and they enjoyed their meals. We had the complete opposite experience. When we first entered, I thought the space was very cool, but it was pretty well crowded and noisy. For some reason, I thought it would be very quiet and intimate down here. We both started out with wine and I had glass of super Tuscan that was $22, it was OK, nothing special. My partner had a glass of Chardonnay and he thought it was a little bit pricey. The bread that was brought to the table was tasteless. The olive oil had no flavor at all. We shared the beet salad and it was OK. I ordered fettuccine with a Bolognese sauce and my partner had a chicken and shrimp dish with a vodka sauce. When the server ever put my meal down in front of me, I just sort of laughed. There had to be a pound of pasta in there and maybe 2 tablespoons of meat and really no sauce at all. I know what Bolognese sauce is, and I make it at home and I occasionally have it while we’re dining out and this was not Bolognese sauce. Whenever I order Bolognese sauce out, there’s always a lot of the sauce with the meat on top of the pasta, this was all mixed in and sparse. I was going to suck it up and eat it but then I just said I do that all the time, so when our server came over to ask how it was, I said there’s just about no meat in this at all and she even admitted that it’s usually meatier. You’ll see the picture that I posted. She offered to bring another dish and I accepted and it was a little better, but even like the first one the flavor was off, I don’t know how to describe it, but the sauce just wasn’t right. It tasted old and burned. My partner‘s dish, the pasta was undercooked, and the sauce was over salted. The chicken was cut in little tiny cubes and was coated in a batter. There were two shrimp in the dish. The total came to $140 before the tip. The wall next to our table was coated in dried food and probably never cleaned. To top it all off, I got up to use the men’s room before we left and I always make sure I lock the door and while I was doing my thing, a woman walked in on me. I guess the lock on the door doesn’t work. After my experience, it felt like a tourist trap. I was really disappointed.

Very surprised by the quality of service and food! Sat outside (highly recommend, they have heaters) and we ordered the fried Zucchini as an appetizer. I got the special pesto chicken pasta dish (see photo). Both were great, the pasta dish a solid 9.5/10.

Was recommended this place from 3 different people. Jade was an absolutely excellent server. She suggested the pesto pasta which was superb! She was very personable and gave us some places to check out while here! Mom got the shrimp scampi which was delightful! Love the vibe here!

Hands down one of our favorite spots in town. A true delight in all seasons. Looking for a warm, dimly lit fireside dinner in Winter and Fall…this is the place. Would you like to dine in a magical gazebo among twinkle lights and flowers in a charming courtyard in Spring and Summer? Yep. This is it. Look no further. Service is always attentive and pleasant. And the food…….so so good. Lasagna is to die for, Veal Marsala is tender and earthy. Calamari Picante is a unique and marvelous dish for seafood lovers. I cannot speak highly enough of this little gem.

Ciro & Sal’s is hands-down the best restaurant in Provincetown. I’ve been coming here since before I could walk, and it’s still the place I look forward to every time I visit. The atmosphere is charming and unique. The pasta (+ sauce) is consistently great. The portions of all dishes are generous here. Always reliable, always delicious. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner *with reservations!*
