We started with appetizers and they did not disappoint. The crab dip was rich and flavorful, the bacon-wrapped scallop was perfectly cooked and indulgent, and the calamari was crispy and well-seasoned. Highly recommend ordering the triple chowder if you’re undecided. It’s a fun way to try everything, and the lobster chowder was easily my favorite with its creamy, comforting depth.
For mains, the salmon pasta was excellent and definitely a standout. It was creamy, well-balanced, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the chef’s special macadamia-crusted fish missed the mark. It was quite bland, and the macadamia crust didn’t complement the fish well, making it the weakest dish of the meal.
Service was attentive and friendly throughout, and the view really elevates the dining experience, making it a pleasant place to linger. I’d absolutely come back, just knowing which dishes to prioritize next time.
From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding — the hostess, our waiters, and even the manager checked in to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. Not in an overwhelming way… just the perfect “we’ve got you” kind of way.
Now let’s talk food. The lobster roll? Delicious. The halibut? Cooked perfectly. The seafood chowder? So good it deserves its own fan club. And the carrot cake for dessert was the kind of ending that makes you pause, smile, and question why you don’t eat carrot cake more often.
Amazing service, incredible food, and an experience that made us feel truly taken care of. I’ll absolutely be back — probably for more chowder (and yes, more cake). Highly recommend Duke’s.
The service is amazing, great food and wine selection too. You really cant beat the view wether you are sitting inside or have good enough weather to sit outside. If you’re lucky, you can catch a good amount of the aquatic life while you eat and enjoy watching sea planes or sailboats come through!
Professional customer service that doesn’t make you feel rushed.
Make sure to try the “silky salmon”, their classic chowder, and a brookie. Each of them was best I’ve had of that kind of dish. All of our dishes were satisfactory, but the silky salmon was heavenly. Best $200 I’ve spent on food for three in a long time.
Our server was Joanna Z and she helpfully suggested we try the chowder, which we otherwise wouldn’tve gotten.
Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm and were seated at a table inside looking over the waterfront. Started with the Maple bacon seafood bites appetizer which was quite tasty and served hot in a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were served hot and crispy but the breaded fish was a bit lacking in flavor – the fries were tasty and the cole slaw was fresh. The two Rockfish Tacos were quite filling leading me to wish that I had only ordered one. The taco shells were deep-fried crispy and tasty. For desert, ordered the Carefully Selected Local Ice Cream which was very rich, tasty and creamy; however, we should have split one order (two scoops) rather than taking one order each which was a bit much.
Although pricey, the food served at Dukes is fresh, tasty and delicious. We will be back.

Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm and fortunately we were able to sit outdoors looking over the waterfront. Started with the Sensational Wild Salmon Bites appetizer which was quite tasty and served hot with a delicious spicy dipping sauce. The Heirloom Masa Dusted Calamari was served hot and was crispy and also tasty. The fish and chips were delicious and served hot and crispy. The highlight dish was the Scintillating Cilantro Lime Wild Salmon & Prawn Salad – Salmon was not served hot but was tasty and the prawns were also quite nice. This salad was very fresh with a lot of very tasty elements.
Although a bit pricey, the food served at Dukes is fresh, tasty and delicious and having lunch overlooking the waterfront makes the experience even better. We will be back.
