For some reason, I was expecting this spot to be a lot bigger. But, instead… what I found was an incredible opportunity to eat some amazing food, be treated like royalty and to have an amazing time. It felt like I was at a small dining table being treated like a king. Amazing spot. Don’t forget to order the clam chowder…

Exceptional service – very attentive staff and kind. Went for happy hour a got to try a few things. Fish taco, tuna tostada and slider were all good but the furikake fries was the dish I’d go back for — so good with the sauces!

The bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked. I ordered from the taste of south bay restaurant week menu. It was delicious. I highly reccomend getting the panko avocados. Blackened tiger shrimp with risotto. Tiramisu and berry drink with rum instead of vodka. They do offer a law enforcement discount. We were walk ins and seated immediately
Which was nice especially
After leaving LAX. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

A great spot for lunch. I had their salmon salad and the salmon was roasted perfectly. The skin was crunchy and the salmon was juicy. The vegetables were fresh.

The offer a lovely variety of tea, and was in the mood for chai late with a splash of dairy free cream.

The service was excellent, warm and welcoming.

The menu looked great! Need to stop by again to try other dishes.

Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had (which means a lot as a breakfast burrito connoisseur). The furukake fries were also fantastic.

I totally enjoy the sampler . I like all of the three, but my favorite was the Mini Panko Avocado . A lot of different textures and a nice blend of flavors. Try the Furikake Fries you will be amazed at how good they are too.

We had the pleasure of visiting Plow & Hook for the first time, and it was an exceptional experience. The food and service were both outstanding. Opting to sit in their charming outdoor section, we arrived around 3:30 pm, allowing us to enjoy their delightful happy hour specials. Here’s what we savored: perfectly fried Furikake fries topped with cheese and spices, making them absolutely delicious.

The tempura fish tacos had a delightful kick of spice, and the grilled cheese was elevated to cater to more sophisticated adult tastes. My husband opted for the beef sandwich, which had a wonderful balance of sweetness that beautifully complemented the beef. For the finale, we ordered the crepe layered cake which was delicious. Additionally, I mustn’t forget to mention the fantastic tea we had, which was both refreshing and delightful on the palate. I was told they use the fuze brand, and I’ll definitely be on the lookout for it at my local store.

We decided to venture to Hermosa Beach for some breakfast and saw that the reviews of this place were pretty good, so we checked it out.

It’s located on Pier Ave which during summer months will be really tough to find parking, but we found a spot no problem (thank you winter months).

We ordered the oysters (served with a delicious olive oil and micro cilantro which was different and very good), the fish tacos, the clam chowder, the French fries (hold the truffle) and the kale salad.

Our server was great. She was very attentive and knew the food prep well. The reason I say that is because I always ask about how salad’s are dressed because I don’t need much dressing on mine… you’d be surprised how many servers don’t get this right. She promised me it was lightly dressed and it sure was! Perfection.

We found the fish tacos a little bit dry. The fish is fried and is served on corn tortillas. I think if these tacos were to have a bit more moisture, like maybe a salsa or some pico de gallo, that would help. The French fry sauces were both very tasty; we very much enjoyed the flavors. The clam chowder also had a little different twist to it which we liked too!

This is an easy yes when looking for a nice brunch place.

Solid brunch spot in Hermosa Beach with excellent service from Jenay (sp?) She didn’t have a name tag, but she was an excellent waitress! Definitely made our experience push to 5 stars. Great energy and spirit!

The food portions are large and if you come here for brunch, you’ll be pleased! Highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits or the Chicken and Waffles. The Shrimps and Grits is definitely decadent with a lot of goodness. A bit greasy, but in a good way that pairs well with some bread. Totally forgot to take a pic though. The Chicken and Waffles are really good too. The waffles are on the denser side and a bit heavy, but works! The chicken was cooked well and had a good crunch. Just good brunch foods!

The Furikake Fries are soooo good too. An interesting combo of Japanese meets truffle oil with excellent dipping sauce. Some of the best fries that I’ve had!

If you want to drink, definitely get a bottle of champagne for $20 and your choice of juice. The mango is divine! A little goes a long way. Also, the Frose is super tasty as well. Can’t go wrong with that too!

We have seen this restaurant before on Pier Street but tonight was our first visit. It was not overly busy but the holiday week probably has people running around elsewhere. I ordered the scallops and my buddy ordered the fish of the day which was grouper. We were both amazed. The grouper was prepared as lightly crunchy on the outside, perfect texture on the inside. The flavors just jumped out at you from the fish, the quinoa and the greens in some kind of amazing dressing. I had to call my daughter, a chef with training at the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan, and tell her about this scallop dish, I don’t know how to describe the combination of citrus and berries. Every bit was amazing. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts as a side dish and it went well. This restaurant boasts a large beer menu with some strange flavors including vanilla cream (sounds nasty in a beer) and peanut butter (we tried but couldn’t really taste the peanuts). I’m an Irishman, and somehow flavored beer just seems wrong to me. But there is nothing I can say that fully describes the amazing art of the chef at this restaurant. We will be back!
