Love love loveeeee this place! Had a great experience tonight food was delicious as usual. I’ve had their food for the past 10+ years but first time trying this location and it was great. We got the calamari, limeneo cebiche for starters and for entrees the Lomo soltado is a must. We also got the corvina a lo macho. The sauce was AMAZING for the seafood. great for date night, amazing vibes. If you go in bigger group the seating is even better because of the booth/tables.

My family, friends and i decided to see an off Broadway play and afterwards we were all hungry and we all agree to go to this. We were escorted down these steps into a large room. They were accommodating since we were a large group with no reservation. Everyone enjoyed their food.

10 of us went to PioPio 8 on Valentine’s Day before we attended a concert at Madison Square Garden. First we were running late due to traffic, we had to postpone the reservation to 6:30. We got there around 6:45 due to parking issues and the staff welcomed us graciously. Not only they expedited our orders because we were running late but they were very patient and professional!
Now the food was a surprise, huge portion and delicious. Every single dish was tasty. We had the sea bass, the shrimp in some creamy sauce, the steak and the chicken; not a single complaint. Everyone of us was happy with the service, the food and the price. We are planning to go back and cannot wait this time. Thank you for a job well done! Kudos to the staff!

Hearty portions and a large and nice restaurant makes for a really solid dining experience in the area.

The two of us shared the chicken empanadas, half a rotisserie chicken and the arroz chaufa with shrimp. By the way, let me get out of the way that the green sauce is so delectable that I could have eaten it by the spoonful.

The empanadas were ok. I’ve had much better in NYC and I would probably pass on these next time. The chicken was DELICIOUS. They are rightly known for this and I think it’s a must get. The arroz chaufa was solid – flavorful and plentiful. It came in what felt like a bucket and is clearly a sharing portion.

We also had chicha moradas. I love chicha morada and have had it in several restaurants in NYC. This version is a little watered down, but still good.

Service was fine – efficient, but not very friendly. Nothing negative, just not anything special.

Came here for lunch twice this week while working nearby. Weekdays around lunchtime (noon to 4) they have a special that’s a quarter rotisserie chicken with side and a drink for $15. A great bargain for delicious food! 2nd day was a Saturday, still spent around $30 per person which was reasonable for the portion sizes and how delicious the food was. Service was fast and courteous, everyone was nice. Manager checked in on how we were enjoying our meal. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Great atmosphere, with a split level bar/restaurant.
Food was great. Had the chicken empanadas to start (massive!)
For dinner, had the Tacu Tacu and my compadre had the Lomo Saltado. Both delicious and tasty dishes.
Drinks were also good. Had the Gin Mule, and a spicy tequila drink (can’t remember the name). Both made with class.
Highly recommend this spot to small or medium sized groups.

The experience at PioPio was immaculate. The customer service was top tier. While walking to my table, there were men standing up looking around waiting to help anyone and everyone who needed assistance. The friendliness of this place is top tier. The food is to die for. Flavorful beyond and was cooked in such a great time as it was only about 15 minutes until we got our meal. I would recommend anyone in NY or that is visiting, to come on by; your tummies are waiting to be satisfied ☺️

It was a great dining experience. The food was delicious. We had appetizers and two family-style combos that were more than enough for a big group of eight. The atmosphere was nice, but our server seemed a little inexperienced.
