Went to Golden corral for a treat for the family after a day out and running around and you know going to a restaurant you expect that everything’s going to be fine and that was not the case and I am appalled that someone that serves food can actually let their restaurant be ran like this and I will not be returning and I will actively discourage people because half of my family had gotten sick before we ever even left the parking lot

We went to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving Day lunch today. We got through the line to pay and sat to eat within 40 min. They were extremely busy but everything was ran smooth and efficiently.
The staff blew me away! They were super friendly and had smiles and great attitudes today. It made for such a friendly atmosphere. Nadine, our server was so sweet and refilled our drinks and cleared our plates and was so attentive.
Again, we had a great experience and appreciate so much the great attitude of the staff. It made all the difference. We are thankful for you!

They have a lot to choose from, if you leave there hungry….it’s not their fault. The food is average or better. The 21st restaurant has a few more things to choose from but I like the atmosphere and clientel better at this location.

This golden corral is FANTASTIC, come here for nice wait staff, good food, and lively atmosphere! The donuts + icecream are TO DIE FOR. Try it if you don’t believe me

This Golden Corral was pretty busy when we were there on a Saturday afternoon. The staff did a good job of clearing the tables for new customers and overall the restaurant was clean. Our server did a fantastic job of keeping up with our table of five. Kudos to her.
The roast beef was a bit dry and the mashed potatoes were not hot, less than room temp.
Other than that, everything tasted good. I love the old fashioned fudge they have on the dessert bar. I would eat there for that and the brussel sprouts alone. Weird. I know.
That’s the beauty of a well provisioned buffet; there is something for everybody.

Every time we go there we seem to quickly get full and feeling bloated and even nauseous in a small way. I don’t know if they put some msg or something in the food, but unlike other restaurants, it doesn’t take long before you can’t tolerate any more food. We’re not overeating, however you always feel awful when you leave there and wonder why you picked that GC on 71st to go eat. They consistently raise their prices, but there is no improvement on quality & better selections they used to have like Salmon and Cod. Also, they have really “dumbed down” their menu after eliminating Luby’s, Furrs cafeteria, Ryan’s steak house, Western sizzlin, The Fountains, Old Country Buffet, and others. The other location on 21st is a better experience, but essentially the same poor quality.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Everything is dry. It would be more convenient if I could just go refill my own drink. Waitress has too many tables and can’t give do refills on drinks when needed. Then we go up and get a slushie cup since the waitress is preoccupied with other tables and they wanna charge for the cup. No thank you. You’ll be giving me the cup since I cant get any refills.

We arrived a little after 4pm, we were greeted immediately, and thankfully we were able to find a table. It was a packed Friday night. The food was on point, like usual, however the steak sauce kept on the table tasted a bit off. We let our server know and after apologizing she removed the bottle and offered to bring us something else. She never let our cups get below half and never let our plates stack up. I’m horrible with names, but I’d know of I see her again.
