Absolutely phenomenal, friendly service the way they treated me was above and beyond. They broke the menu options down for me considering I’m stopping by traveling not from here. Ok. Stop here! I’ve never been to a place like this! The food came out as prepared. Fresh and piping hot. My belly is so fat and happy! We ordered almost everything between the 6 of us. Excellent cooking. Delicious. The crying boy who was too scared to try anything is severely missing out. Hands down will come back if I ever cross paths again! Thank you guys so much.

shame on us for not checking it in detail before we paid. she just gave the total and then we did 20% for the tip $10.00.
so the total “tip” was $18 , our two friends did the same thing. so the lady made made $54 for a three person table/. hopefully you enjoy it because we WILL NOT be BACK

Mama’s Kitchen was recommended to us by Dominique at the Whitney Plantation when we asked where we could find authentic southern food. My partner ordered the gumbo and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. I had the fried chicken and fries. My partner summed it up perfectly as we were heading back to NOLA: “It didn’t feel like a restaurant. It felt like we were sitting at someone’s table and mom was cooking in the kitchen.” The service, food, and atmosphere were all truly wonderful!

I stopped hoping for good food after work. The presentation was not appealing.
The Okra was mushy, the gumbo was rice with gravy. Only strips of chicken in gumbo.
Corn was supposed to be a side and they put baked beans on the plates.
Too expensive for subpar quality food.

The food is hit & miss. Not consistent. I tried them 5 times too many. The service they give definitely needs work. They are always confused & all over the place. Its like they don’t know if they want to be a club or a restaurant. It’s a weird setup period.

We thought they closed at 9, so we showed up just before 7—only to find out they actually closed at 7. Despite that, they still took our order and kindly packed it to go. One of the staff members, whose name I didn’t catch, even offered to stay late so we could dine in. Everyone there was incredibly kind and accommodating.
