We have been wanting to come in here and finally stopped!! Such a cute little shop. The ice cream was absolutely amazing with such great flavor! I highly recommend you coming in and checking them out. You will not be disappointed.

This place is Amazing. I was so blown away from all the plants… I forgot to get ice cream. But it looked awesome. I bought three plants…but i wanted 12. If you love plants, you will definitely be impressed. I can’t wait to go back.

SUCH a hidden gem!! I visit the area fairly infrequently; only when I stay at Juniper Ranch & Retreat down the road. I was in the mood for ice cream and this place was the only real ice cream place I could find. The store is beautiful and the owner super friendly and helpful! I got the campfire or fireside ice cream with dark chocolate chunks, graham cracker and marshmallow and it was even better than Ben & Jerry’s s’more ice cream, which is my favorite.
I also ended up buying 2 plants and a couple of pots. I told him how I have killed so many succulents and I want plants, but am rather neglectful and he picked out two that apparently thrive in neglect so definitely the perfect plants for me.
There was a great selection of plants and pots. I should’ve taken pictures, but there was even a chart to help you find plants based on being easy to care for, pet friendly and one other that I can’t remember.
Anyways, this is soooo cool and whether you’re a local or just passing through, you need to stop by! I will definitely be back.

Scoops & Roots is like a Hallmark movie set but with ice cream—and honestly, I’m here for it.
The plants are so cute I considered buying one just to prove I can keep something alive besides myself. The ice cream? Next level. Flavors you won’t find anywhere else and so good they made me question why I’ve wasted years on plain chocolate. Service was top notch—friendly, fast, and zero judgment when I ordered more than one scoop (don’t act like you wouldn’t).
If you’re at Canyon Lake and skip this place… rethink your life choices.

Scoops & Roots deserves a 10 Star review, They are really nice, have very tasty and unique flavors, and they have awesome scenery from beautiful plants, to colorful Ice cream. What makes this place stand out is the extremely good ice cream, along with plants that give peaceful vibes that you can even purchase! I recently tasted Taro Marshmallow, Campfire treat, and this other tasteful dark purple ice-cream. By far the best ice-cream I have ever had! I highly recommend trying this great place out and getting a taste of what they have to offer!!

Such a cute ice cream & plant shop in Sattler! Tons of unique flavors and the staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to picking out flavors. We tried a variety – campfire treat, beecave crunch, Oreo & Texas dirtcake. All the flavors were delicious and the plants were so cute to look at while we munched on our ice cream. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

This place is like none I have ever seen before. What a creative combination of grabbing some ice cream while you check out some plants. I just started loving plants within the past year, and Kit really helped me choose an English Ivy for my house. It is so organized, clean, delicious ice cream, and creative. I would drive the 45 minutes from where I live in San Antonio just to come get ice cream and plants here. Such a jewel of a place!
