We come to Renards every few weeks to meet up with my wife’s family. Food is generally good and consistent, the margarita pizza is Aces. Chicken meatballs are delicious as well.We just wish the portions were a little larger, service used to be lacking, especially with management, we had a few small problems on this visit, our server Lisa was very attentive though, and a gentleman who introduced himself as the new general manager rectified the situation and took care of us for our issues. It’s nice to see the improvement in this restaurant over the years, now if they could enhance the menu to include some more entrees, that would be great!!

I’ve never had a bad dish coming here. If you’re looking for a coy spot to grab an even cozier bite, this is the place for you. The interior is beautifully decorated and seating at both the regular dining and the bar is a good experience. Service is always phenomenal as well. Will definitely keep going back!

We had an unforgettable experience at Renard’s! Chef Brian went above and beyond to make the night truly special. His attention to detail, and incredible culinary skill made us have a one of a kind dining experience.
The pasta was absolutely phenomenal, it was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The focaccia bread was hands down some of the best we’ve ever had, soft and impossible to stop eating.
Renard’s made a milestone moment of our engagement even more magical. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly, highly recommend.

Be sure to make reservations to eat at the bar. Prepare to be immersed alongside the culinary masterminds in the bistro. Renard’s has the Best French fries in the State of Wisconsin, no one can compete with these fries. With stone fired pizzas, fresh ingredients and local cuisine, everything is meticulously prepared at Renard’s!

Pretty odd experience…
First off, I made a reservation for 6 and we were seated at a foldout plastic table next to a drafty window. The table had no stability so it just slid around all over the floor when we tried to eat.
Secondly, we ordered a bottle of wine, a cocktail, and an orange soda. The waitress returned and told us they were out of all three. So then we ordered a second bottle of wine; the waitress returned and told us they were out of that. Then we ordered a third bottle of wine and the waitresses didn’t know how to open it. They broke the cork and then proceeded to pour wine with cork chunks into our glass. We then asked for a different bottle and they broke that cork too… Their third bottle was the charm (although it was not opened in front of us so who knows).
We then ordered food. Waitress returned and told us they were out of the GF pizza crust (that’s 4 things we ordered that they didn’t have)
Overall the food was decent, the pork and lobster ravioli both came out cold though after a very long wait. The wait staff was fairly unapologetic for all the mishaps and the manager who was roaming around never came by to address the issues. Service was super slow as well.
Retroactively I looked at yelp reviews and noticed the same issues on other reviews. I would not recommend.

We’ve gone to Renard’s about 4 times now and I’d highly recommend it. We like to sit at the counter overlooking the kitchen but the dining room is quite charming also. The food is fantastic! We can see first hand how it is prepared with care and skill. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I’ve pictured half of our mushroom pizza with added sausage. Delicious! And the drinks are excellent too. You won’t be disappointed!

Cannot say enough good things about how both delicious and inventive our meals were tonight. The sauce with my mussels was tomato based but with other flavors I could not place. It was exceptional. The mushroom ravioli was clearly made on site. The orange oil served with a not-very-sweet chocolate mousse with salt and cream was a beautiful flavor combo (and thank you for cutting the sugar). Mequon is lucky to have such fine dining.

This place is unique in all the right ways. We have visited the brewery and Just wondered about the space next door and what events it hosted. Holy wow it’s mouth party central. B de Re as I will affectionately refer to it had the fine classics and the odd ducks on the menu and he portion sizes were perfect to navigate a whole meal from app to desert without feeling like you swallowed a watermelon. Honestly the Rock Candy beverage is my new favorite… and tbh this might be my new area favorite y’all.
