The food here was good and the place was clean. The people were friendly and nice. I think maybe they were short staffed when we were there. Had to ask after waiting to get the drinks we ordered and then needed to wait for the check and to pay. Maybe it wasn’t a great time for them when we came there although there was only one other table with people at it when we were there today. The Pork Kebabs were amazing. I liked the taste of them over my Pepper Steak. The pepper steak tasted like Fajita meat ( Which I like). Overall a 4 for me.

I loved coming here for my lunch with my mom. We got the same thing every time, somewhere down the line my orders were coming out wrong. One time I order an HOUR in advance only for THEM to get my order wrong and it had to be remade. I told them I didn’t have the time to wait that day and moved on. I ordered MORE times from them and slowly the food quality lessened with each order. Until this final time where the tostones came soggy and the food was gross. I asked for a garlic sauce and then gave me melted butter which ruined the whole meal making it inedible. I call back today to see if I could just replace the food and both the daughter and the owner got nasty. Stating to “come get my refund and don’t come back”. I’ve been a faithful customer for months as I’ve been trying to only order out from small business to support my community. But that’s hard to do when you present a valid issue and they respond with immaturity and nastiness. They don’t care about making good food anymore, they care about profit and making sure anyone that complains is banned from eating there. Bad way to run a business, and good way to ward off long-term customers.

Fabulous food and even better service which is so welcoming!! The atmosphere is very warm due to the plethora of colors shared from the colorful mural that you’ve got to see, so artful created by Edwin Bautista from Dunkirk, NY….. I think.

I hate to be that guy that puts down a small business. A few friends and I went here for dinner. The food was very bland overall. I was extremely disappointed with the mofongo. It was incredibly dry and flavorless. Some of the pork pieces were still a bit undercooked. Unfortunately, the pork was also half fat. For the price that was paid and the quality of the food, I wouldn’t recommend it. The people working there are very nice, and it has beautiful murals on the walls. However nice service and murals don’t make the food any better. Sad to say I wouldn’t come here again.

Ordered for work lunch. Rice only had about 5 beans in it and absolutely no flavor. The meat pies were tiny and the fried chicken was way over cooked. This was 60 dollars for 3 people. Not a very happy customer. Gentleman who brought out the food for me was very nice though.

I recently went to have lunch at Shortys for the first time. Everyone really enjoyed it and the server was helpful and friendly. As a collective our favorite foods from there was the Pincho (pork on a stick) and the Potato Ball was one of the best I’ve had. I will be there again when I’m in the area for sure. If you aren’t familiar with Peurto Rican food this is a great place to give it a try. All menu items explain what they are for non Spanish speakers
