Staying in Viroqua for the weekend and headed out in the morning to drive around and find some adventures. We happened to pass this place and decided to run in quick and get a doughnut for the road. Cute little shop with not an overwhelming amount to choose from. The doughnuts were amazing. Fresh, soft, delicious. They definitely have not been there all day. My husband was amazed. We even had to stop back there the next day on the way home. We even ran into a couple from Florida that were there. Must be good if you drive that far .

Went into the Cakery and Bakery shop today before taking my son to school. There were 2 women having a personal conversation when we entered (employee and assumed customer) after waiting for about 3 mins I politely interrupted the ladies conversation and asked if they minded if we politely cut in bc I had to get my son to school… with no response from the employee but the customer(lady having a personal conversation with employee) told me maybe I should leave earlier since I knew he had school!
The lady behind the counter just looked at me with a facial expression as if she agreed with women she was having a personal conversation with!
My son and I were extremely offended!!! I bought one thing instead of the dozen that I planned on buying because the whole situation made me feel unwanted and uncomfortable! I understand people have conversations while they’re at work, but from being a previous manager the customer service industry that was extremely Unprofessional!!!
As far as the customers comment, I know that the employee is not responsible for that, but we never were greeted when we walked in. We were not even acknowledged no glance over know nothing just two people continuing their conversations like no one else was there!!
I personally will NOT be going back in there to be treated so disrespectfully! THE CUSTOMERS COMMENT WAS JUST RUDE, BUT THE FACT THAT THE EMPLOYEE DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE US WHEN WE WALKED IN, DID NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO INTERACT WITH US WHEN WE WERE LOOKING FOR ITEMS TO BUY, AND OVERALL SEEM LIKE THAT WAS ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!!!

Best Apple Fritters of my life. I have never cared for the Apple Fritters, but these are something different. Now I know that I love them, only from here, this shop. Doughnuts too. I can tell alot of work and good ingredients have gone into a single Doughnut. Amazing, not even in the same category as grocery store, dunkin, or gas station crap. Real food! Really real, really delicious food here. Thank You so much for making my day Cakery & Bake Shop. We will be returning soon. ASAP actually!
