Highly recommend this delicious establishment! I have been here multiple times and one thing I will praise them for is consistency! As well as everything else being amazing especially the food. I am very pleased though with the fact that every time I order here it has been the same great experience! Hot, fresh, delicious and amazing food every time! My favorite dish is the Spicy Chix Chicken Sandwich I usually do You’ll Clucking Regret it for spice level and let me tell you. I love spicy food but halfway through a sandwich with this…I definitely regret it. Sad thing is I always order it the same because as hot as it is I looooveee the flavor! Way to go Chix! Highly recommend everyone try this place. (p.s. I consider this the best chicken sandwich around all of the tristate area! This place does not skimp on quality, and you can taste it in every bite!)

This place is my new favorite place to eat in Lemars. The chicken tenders are enormous! The staff is friendly , the place was clean and a fun atmosphere. I had heard from several people that Chix Chicken and Waffles was worth a visit, so I finally stopped in—and I’m glad I did. I ordered The Rooster, which comes with three chicken tenders, fries, and two waffle triangles. I expected the tenders to be a normal size, but wow… these things were massive. Honestly, the portion could have fed three people! They were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and absolutely delicious.
The fries were also solid—crispy, hot, and a great pairing with the chicken. The only disappointment for me was the waffles. They had a rubbery texture, almost as if they’d been made ahead of time and kept warm for too long. Not inedible, but definitely not on the same level as the chicken.
That said, the value was impressive. For the amount of food you get, the price is fantastic. Next time I go, I’ll probably skip the waffles and try one of their sandwiches instead.
One unique thing inside the restaurant is a whole wall of cereal tubes they mix into ice cream—basically a cereal-lover’s dream. I didn’t have room this visit, but I’m already planning to go back just to try it.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Chix Chicken and Waffles for the chicken alone. I’ll definitely be returning!

This place was absolutely amazing BEYOND words. The food was very good, warm, and delicious. Not one thing was wrong with our order. We spend about $80 and it was all worth it. They give you a good amount of Sauce to start with, they give good portions of everything else as well. The tenders were more than big enough. They are well worth your money. The waffles were out of the world. They had an amazing taste, very moist, and warm. The syrup is also 10/10. The owner herself which I believe was Tracy came to our table and was very kind. She checked on us, made sure everything was good, and even went to the extent of letting us try her new Buffalo Mac n Cheese for no cost. My experience here along with my family was nothing short of amazing. The workers are all very friendly, and the place is very clean. The part of the kitchen you could see thru the window was very clean and everything was moving fast. Waited a max of 10-15 minutes for a 6 person order. I will 100% be back.

Food is great! I see some negative reviews but I honestly can’t back them up. Staff is super friendly, Owner greeted us personally and thanked us for coming in. The hen was SMACKING good, The loaded fries are dangerously good, and the sandwiches are top notch. Siouxland is worried about Raising Canes and Chick-Fil-a, and Wing Stop! Focus is in the wrong place. 100/10 Chix is the best! I will 1000% be back!

Heard about this place by a few people and had to try it out! The restaurant was really nice and has an amazing menu. We had the spicy Buffalo wings, the chicken and waffles, and the Waffle frie-chicken combo. Everything was delicious. The chicken was fully cooked, and super juicy and full of flavor! Would highly recommend this restaurant! It’s awesome having such a nice restaurant in Le Mars.

My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout all 50 U.S. states and the best chicken tenders we’ve ever had are served at CHIX Chicken and Waffles in Le Mars, IA. What’s served are made-to-order premium, plump, tender, and juicy tenders with just the right balance of seasoning. The fries were excellent, and surprisingly the waffles ended up being a great desert to finish the meal off. Service was very friendly and professional, and the dining areas were clean. In fact, we enjoyed the experience so much, we went back the next day. For us, eating at CHIX Chicken and Waffles will be a must on all our future trips to Le Mars, and we’re hoping CHIX will eventually expand down to the St. Louis area someday. See my attached photos.

This is our go-to spot for chicken!! The spicy chix sandwich with honey mustard is the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. It is not fast food and prepared fresh in a timely manner. They use and sell beef tallow. They have a rewards system that is always a nice reduction on your bill!! The game room in the basement is super nice, bright, and clean. There are multiple TVs around if you want to catch a game. Prices are great for what you get. Check out their menu, worth the stop!!
