This place was awesome. The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was wonderful and beyond delightful for anyone looking for a night out. The food was great. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and the taste was just like down home alabama chicken I know of bc it is where I am originally from. The omelet I got was delicious. The place was busy but you can still just walk in and seat yourself on most occasions but someone is going to be there to let you know that with immediate menus and drinks within a few mins and a tentative waiter or waitress that will be on top of it. Roscoes Waffles and Chicken is a great place.

We were visiting LA on business and Roscoe’s was recommended to us as a must visit place. Based on the recommendation we made some time to visit and see if it lived up to the hype.

I’m a big fan of Chicken and Waffles and have tried them in various parts of the country so I approached Roscoe’s with anticipation. Our server was great and pointed out the best item to order, and I went with the 2 pieces of dark meat and waffles.

The chicken was great. It was crispy and tender and had decent flavor. The waffles weren’t anything special, but complimented the flavor of the chicken well. A little bit of syrup and some of the house hot sauce and I was ready to go.

Overall, this was a decent meal. I wouldn’t say it was anything out of the ordinary, but it was a good experience and fun to eat at a local place with some history. Overall, I would go back as the service was great and the vibe fun.

I’m from the South, so I’ve had my fair share of really good fried chicken. With that in mind, I’d say theirs is just okay. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. The chicken was crunchy, but the batter didn’t have much flavor, which made the chicken itself taste a bit bland. It might be good to try for once, but not a place I’d go often for fried chicken. The gravy, though, was really good. I’m usually not a gravy person, but I actually enjoyed this one a lot. The pancakes were pretty average—nothing special to mention.

I also tried the hot chocolate. It tasted fine, but it wasn’t hot enough and was almost cold, which was a little disappointing. The place is in a nice location, but parking was definitely a hassle.

This restaurant was quite a treat for us. The food I had was outstanding! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the waffle was sweet and fluffy. The service was quite good. Inside the restaurant was a throw back to good old days with Motown music and lights. This was a great place to get a great meal.

Loved this place! The chicken and waffles were to die for, and the syrup was oh so sweet! The tenders were crispy and juicy and the coleslaw was delicious! Loved the vibe, the service was excellent and food came out fast! Stable and a must stop if you’re by a location!

First time here and overall, pretty solid experience! My girlfriend went with the chicken thigh & waffles and I had the chicken strips & waffles both were really good. The waffles leaned a little too sweet for me, but hey, still tasty. The chicken? Absolute star of the show. Juicy, flavorful. Just wish the portion size was a little bigger.
We added cornbread and mac & cheese on the side. Mac & cheese delicious, creamy, no notes. Cornbread… well, let’s just say I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype in my head.
The vibe was super chill, maybe too chill since it was just us and one other guest. Customer service was a bit hit-or-miss. The guy who greeted us? Awesome energy, super welcoming. Our waitress, on the other hand, seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else and honestly, can’t blame her, it was a beautiful day outside. Still, a little extra warmth would’ve matched the food better.
All in all: great chicken, cozy vibe, and some small areas for improvement. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving chicken and waffles done right!

First time visiting the iconic Rosco’s Chicken and Waffle
We arrived at 10:30AM, and got lucky with a parking spot right in-front. We were three people and were sat right away.
I had the one chicken piece with one waffle and banana pudding.
It not just hype, the chicken is delicious, it was Crispy and Juicy, I was for my waffle crispy. Also had the banana pudding, I love the little chunks of waffle in it.

Went here. Tried to order. Couldn’t get any one to help me. Zero customers and three severs just standing around. I don’t know what happened to this Roscoes but it is in the tank. Wait staff is rude and disrespectful. This is really bad. Visit another Roscoes. This one is empty for a reason. This place used to be warm and welcoming. Now it is cold and pretentious employees that think they are better than the customer. I bet all the bad reviews are at night.

This establishment is surviving off its reputation, hype, marketing, or something other than it’s food.

I had waffles, chicken tenders, wings, potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, mac and cheese.

Roughly ended up at $40 ish dollars per person before drinks.

Waffles? Whatever: they weren’t crisp, they didn’t have anything unique, just basic motel lobby free-breakfast waffle.

The chicken tenders were a disgrace to the foul that unelectedley laid its life down to make a masquerade of what tasted like Sahara dried chicken jerky fried in a perfect blend of pointlessness, blandness, and despair. No exaggeration when I say this: this was the worst takeout/ sit down fried chicken I have ever had. Worse than most grocery store deli fried chicken.

Mac and cheese was a solid-ish block of mushy macaroni with a slight taste of hopes and dreams that was the cheese trying to come through to say hello to the taste buds that were begging for some action. A friend who loves all mac and cheese got this as his side, and he didn’t even finish his portion, I never seen that before. That man could eat, even when it’s whatever.

The best thing I ate was the gravy which tastes like it was made from a McCormick gravy packet and diluted with water for that scrumptious blend of “this kinda has some flavor if I really think about it and gaslight my brain a bit”.

I am genuinely lost at how this place charges astronomical prices for food that I would pay to never eat again.

I visited this location on my first trip to LA and I’m glad I did. Chicken & waffles is a must and worth the trip. Some of the best I’ve had. Tenders were also very good. Good service. Friendly staff. Cool vibe
