House of Pies on Westheimer is a classic Houston institution that delivers comfort food and indulgent desserts in a cozy, retro diner setting. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a late-night treat, this spot has you covered. The menu features a variety of American favorites, including omelets, burgers, and sandwiches, all served with generous portions. However, the real star here is the extensive pie selection—each slice is a slice of heaven. From the rich chocolate cream to the tangy lemon meringue, there’s a pie for every palate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to gather with friends or family. Service is friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Rosie & Ally are excellent servers. Very friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. I drive all the way from Katy to the Westheimer Rd location for all these reasons.

I enjoyed this stop for my sweet tooth.
Had BBQ down the street and was craving for some sweets. Pie was delicious, I got the house specially. Servers were really nice.

This restaurant has been around a long time and is beloved by so many I am sure. As an outsider with no stake in the area or the story, all I can rate is the food. The bottom line… it’s fine. It makes me think, this is what Waffle House was when it stated and then went to hell. House of Pies managed to keep the nostalgia, cleanliness, kindness, and hustle up over the years. Even the syrup containers are squeaky clean. I would choose House of Pies over any “similar” breakfast place open today. My first choice would be Ruby Slipper or Brick & Spoon for a more modern take on an American breakfast. I did not try the pies!

Was in town over night and needed some “breffis.” This place nailed it. Always open. Typical menu for such a place. Portions are good. There was some light remodeling or refurbishing going on so some of the regulars were comments on the missing booth seats. Food was great! Didn’t get to have pie there so we took one of the sampler box things home. really good.

Absolutely delicious. I order breakfast with my wife. I had my ribeye and my wife got waffle, it was incredible tasty even though we didn’t order their house pie. It’s actually outstanding

I went here today on February 28th, just hanging out enjoying Houston and I met Keke and she helped me and she was amazing. She recommended me to her favorite the coconut cream pie and it was spot on! She was very wholesome and kind and she treated us with the utmost respect as we browsed the different pies. This was a great establishment and I will return shout out Keke doing an amazing job

Terrible food and service! I ordered a chicken pot pie and yogurt for dessert and the pot pie was burnt and dry and tasteless. The yogurt was simply thrown in a Styrofoam container. I called the manager and he said he would only refund my money if I left work and took this mess back to the restaurant. Customer service is horrible and the food lacks just as much. I will never ever, EVER give them another dime. This restaurant was such a disappointment. It upsets me that these restaurants are starting to give such poor service when the community has kept them in business for so many years…the manager did not even suggest remaking my order or trying to make things right; he was so nonchalant and uncaring. I wish I could give zero stars.
