As an FIU student, Sushi Sake FIU has become one of my favorite spots right across the street from campus. The vibe is amazing and perfectly balances being family-friendly while still feeling very college-oriented. Whether you’re at the bar with music playing and TVs on for sports or sitting with friends, it always feels fun and welcoming.
I love how many seating options they have. You can choose regular tables, tabletop seating, Japanese floor chair seating, outdoor seating, or even their private dining room, which my friends and I have used multiple times for group dinners and celebrations. It’s perfect for sorority events or big friend groups.
The service is always great. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes the experience even better every time. The food is consistently delicious, especially the rolls and the specials. My favorite food special is the Nagasaki Bites, and my go-to drink is the Peachy Sunrise. Their specials are some of the best I’ve seen at any restaurant.
I also love that they host college-friendly events like Chapter Thursday with extended happy hour, which my sorority has gone to before chapter, and the late-night happy hour at the bar is always a go-to. While sushi can seem pricey for students, Sushi Sake FIU has so many lunch specials, daily deals, and happy hour options that always make it worth it. It’s a place I’ll keep coming back to throughout my time at Florida International University and even after!!!

The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous! They did such a great Job with the interiors. The lunch specials are also wonderful, I’ve tried the Katsu and have tried some speciality roles. The prices are very reasonable for a lunch. Service is always prompt and restaurant is very clean. I would go back again absolutely!

Kevin was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. He was attentive without being overbearing, kept our drinks filled, and made great recommendations. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving great service. I had such an amazing experience here! The atmosphere felt lively and welcoming. Our server Catelyn, was absolutely incredible! She’s super attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure guests have a great time.

A great restaurant with great employees. I sat at the bar to order my food and drinks. The bartender I met is named Catelyn. The sushi I ordered was good, but the best thing about the restaurant is the enjoyable conversation I had with Catelyn. Having good working people is just as important as the quality of the food.

We had a great experience at Sushi Sake! Jonathan was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu and checked in at all the right times without being intrusive.

Decided to try this new location, Monday night 8:45pm, pretty empty and service was extremely slow. Crab Rangoon’s came out 15 mins before soup or salad did. Roll was wrong sent it back, another 15+ mins to remake and ended up canceling the order. Staff isn’t attentive and has an attitude. And 18% is automatically included, which is fine when the service is up to par. There was tables that weren’t cleaned off that just sat there, bathrooms were dirty.
