The bird net egg rolls are better than the old Saigon Lee. Can’t wait to go back again. I highly recommend eating there. Every dish is great!!!

Coworker recommended this place. This is the kind of spot that you come to eat, study then watch anime. Everything was fresh, and cooked perfectly. I tried each of their springs rolls, bok choy-shiitake mushroom-tofu soup, and steamed wonton. I absolutely love each and every one of the dishes i was served. The waitress was adorable and so sweet. The owner was such a lovely lady. It is a family owned and ran restaurant. I will definitely be returning alone as well as with others. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone around. They aren’t in the best of place in Memphis but that is where the good food is hidden.

Visiting from Texas – Selected from the vegetarian menu – hot and sour soup, vegetable egg rolls, vegetarian spring rolls, vegetable fried rice, tofu lemongrass, and bok choy with shiitake mushrooms…AMAZING!! Food was fresh and cooked to order. Seasoned and not salty. It was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! We almost hurt ourselves trying to eat it all.
Service was fantastic and this little tucked away gem was quiet and friendly. Will be back!

The food is great albeit a bit different than what I’m used to. I got the pork chop platter and the pork was very light in color but wonderfully tender and flavorful. It lead off with a strong lemongrass flavor without being only lemongrass.

The decor is cozy without being sleepy and the service was blazing fast though it is asian service (very blunt and to the point, if you’ve never been to a place like this). We’ll be coming back here often!

It is a lovely place to come and have authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They didn’t actually make it right at first but after checking on my order, they offered to redo it immediately and it was satisfying. Loved talking to the owner. Will definitely go back and try other dishes.

So happy this place is open! Run by two of the sisters from Saigon Le (a place I was desperately missed), this food was delicious. The egg rolls with herbs are divine and are a must do at this place. I ordered the lemongrass tofu with pineapple and my partner got a vermicelli bowl, both were very generous portions and delicious. Our food was fresh and arrived quickly. We will definitely be returning!

Just passing by and wanted to try this highly-rated Vietnamese restaurant. However, the experience was quite disappointing. It’s not because the food didn’t taste good, but because I was treated like a fool. The service was really so-so. The waitress wasn’t very professional and gave quite a bit of attitude. I understand it may have been a long day for her, so it’s understandable. It definitely wasn’t because of her that I rated the service category low. It was because of how I was treated after I ordered lemongrass chicken.

I know what lemongrass tastes like and what the texture is. I couldn’t see or taste any lemongrass in the dish. Another waitress came out and looked at me like I don’t know what I ordered, picked up the spoon, stirred around the dish, and said, ‘Look, that’s lemongrass chopped really fine, and that’s why you don’t see it.’ I’ve had that dish many, many times and made it myself at home before. If you use fresh lemongrass, there’s no way that you can chop it so fine that you can’t taste the texture, even if you puree it in a super fine blender. As a restaurant, if you can’t serve the food on the menu, then don’t put it on the menu. And don’t treat your customers like a fool and tell them a clear lie.

I’m sure if someone who’s never had lemongrass chicken would have been fine with their lie. I guarantee you that they did not use even a gram of lemongrass in that dish. I still give the food category a 3-star because despite that they clearly weren’t serving what they said they were serving, I think the overall taste of the dishes is ok. Or maybe it was because I was super hungry. ‍♂️

The place is clean and nice. The food was mostly good. It catered more for a western palate.

My friend got the beef noodle soup (pho) and it was good. I got the pork vermicelli but mine was room temperature and it was ok.

The service was kinda horrible. We are south east asian and it seems like the server was very nice and had a different tone speaking to all the white customers but for no reason rude to us.

It started when she was getting our order and without us done ordering just left to just entertain other people (there’s probably 5 working there) without letting us finish order. When i tried getting her attention to let her know the rest of our order she was rude at responding to us.

I went to the cash register to do a takeout order for a friend and her tone was completely rude in comparison to the next customer that went after me who was an older white man. It really felt like she had a colonial mentality and was just catering to the white people and was just rude to us even though we were nice from beginning till we left. We still said thank you on our way out and she just looked at us and not say anything.

Real deal, tried & true, no frills Memphis Vietnamese food being served up by Tuyen & Ting, daughters of the much loved & much missed Saigon Le from back in the day & right up the street.
Service may come off as a bit abrasive to first time customers but just roll with it, all part of the special charm & authentic atmosphere these girls & their friends are serving up as long with the delicious lemongrass tofu, fresh spiring rolls, vermicelli dishes & strong ass coffee.
A long time family favorite restaurant run by some real good folks.
Eat at Tuyen’s tonight.
