Service was fantastic and this little tucked away gem was quiet and friendly. Will be back!
The decor is cozy without being sleepy and the service was blazing fast though it is asian service (very blunt and to the point, if you’ve never been to a place like this). We’ll be coming back here often!

I know what lemongrass tastes like and what the texture is. I couldn’t see or taste any lemongrass in the dish. Another waitress came out and looked at me like I don’t know what I ordered, picked up the spoon, stirred around the dish, and said, ‘Look, that’s lemongrass chopped really fine, and that’s why you don’t see it.’ I’ve had that dish many, many times and made it myself at home before. If you use fresh lemongrass, there’s no way that you can chop it so fine that you can’t taste the texture, even if you puree it in a super fine blender. As a restaurant, if you can’t serve the food on the menu, then don’t put it on the menu. And don’t treat your customers like a fool and tell them a clear lie.
I’m sure if someone who’s never had lemongrass chicken would have been fine with their lie. I guarantee you that they did not use even a gram of lemongrass in that dish. I still give the food category a 3-star because despite that they clearly weren’t serving what they said they were serving, I think the overall taste of the dishes is ok. Or maybe it was because I was super hungry. ♂️
My friend got the beef noodle soup (pho) and it was good. I got the pork vermicelli but mine was room temperature and it was ok.
The service was kinda horrible. We are south east asian and it seems like the server was very nice and had a different tone speaking to all the white customers but for no reason rude to us.
It started when she was getting our order and without us done ordering just left to just entertain other people (there’s probably 5 working there) without letting us finish order. When i tried getting her attention to let her know the rest of our order she was rude at responding to us.
I went to the cash register to do a takeout order for a friend and her tone was completely rude in comparison to the next customer that went after me who was an older white man. It really felt like she had a colonial mentality and was just catering to the white people and was just rude to us even though we were nice from beginning till we left. We still said thank you on our way out and she just looked at us and not say anything.
Service may come off as a bit abrasive to first time customers but just roll with it, all part of the special charm & authentic atmosphere these girls & their friends are serving up as long with the delicious lemongrass tofu, fresh spiring rolls, vermicelli dishes & strong ass coffee.
A long time family favorite restaurant run by some real good folks.
Eat at Tuyen’s tonight.
