We started with the mussels, which were absolutely delicious. They were fresh, plump, and was so good we couldn’t stop dipping bread into it. For mains, we had the hangar steak and salmon, and both were excellent. The hangar steak was cooked perfectly, tender and rich with great flavor, while the salmon was beautifully done, moist, and well balanced.
What really made the night special was the vibe. The restaurant has a warm, cozy, and lively atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy the evening. It’s perfect for a relaxed dinner, date night, or catching up with friends.
Overall, we had a great time and I’d highly recommend it. Definitely a place I’d love to return to.
It was great to walk in without a reservation and snag a seat at the bar. Great cocktails!!
I got the Sweet Pea Ravioli, and my girlfriend got the Duck Confit Quesadilla. My ravioli was very delicious. The flavor profile was really complex and was enjoyable all the way to the after taste. My only wish is that the portion was bigger for what it cost, but I don’t regret getting it at all. I ate slowly to savor it. The quesadilla was quite good too. It was very flavorful, and the tamarind glaze brought it all together.
The service was decent. The waitress did seem more interested in chatting with the people who looked like they had money (I wasn’t expecting to go out to a nice restaurant so I was in my gym clothing) so we did have to wait for a bit to get seen throughout our visit. Overall, however, I would highly recommend this spot. I would recommend dressing up though!
Food was amazing! We got the french toast and the corned beef hash and eggs.
Located right in the South End is this cozy cafe with so many options of food and drinks. My friend ordered an old fashioned and the Franklin burger. I ordered the Franklin burger with a Shirley Temple.
Our server was friendly and answered all of my questions about the menu. Though it was busy we didn’t have to wait long for our meals. Food was fresh, hot and just the way we ordered it. I love the burger sauce, it gives the burger a nice touch. It was so good, I asked for a side of it to dip my fries. Good food, good service and great portions!
We had the focaccia+humus and the grilled calamari to start (super super tasty!). Then we had the spicy ragú, incredibly good- and the steak frites, a must as well.
I cannot remember the beer my partner got but it was algo very very good.
We didn’t take any pictures because we were so hungry and excited that we finished the food so quick!!
We cannot wait to be back soon!!!
Edit: came back in September for a date, this is my partner’s fav place in Boston. Took a picture this time 🙂 Andrea was a true pleasure of a waitress and we really enjoyed eating in the patio!
Food we ordered starting with favorites first:
Corn beef hash and eggs
New England apple cider donuts
Breakfast sandwich
Yogurt and berries
Farm Benedict with spinach
Yum!
