To think it’s just Bar food does not take into account the love & detail into this Dam Bacon Cheese Burger. Ample paddies sandwiched with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce & special sauce. What tops it is the use of real Walla Walla sweet onions. The flavors blend perfectly in your mouth. Size & height reminds me of the Brontosaurus Burger of the Flintstones.

I don’t think I’ve ever given a review of a restaurant before and I’ve only given a handful out for some excellent service but this place is a little bit off the beaten path and definitely worth the stop. We just wanted some cheap food after a day and we are incredibly impressed. After traveling several times across the United States my family has had our share burgers and definitely have had our favorite spots but this one quickly took first place. It is so absolutely excellent. If you’re visiting Mount Rainier national Forest it is worth going a little bit out of your way to come and experience it for yourself if I could give it more stars, I would.

If you’re heading here with kiddos, you’ll see the sign for “family dining entrance”. You’ll come across an unmarked door, enter right at the pool table. Really confusing. Hubby and I ordered Moscow mules with titos. They put maybe a splash of titos in the ginger beer. There was a wasted $20!
We ordered the Dam burger w/bacon. No bacon. And wasn’t big enough for 2 adult meals as we were told. Everything was just okay. From the service, drinks, to the food. Pretty spendy tab for just okay.

Came by during the heat wave for some lunch. Almost ordered too much food but our waitress let us know that we had ordered more than enough for a food coma. Delicious, filling, and great service. Let’s be clear, you won’t get fake smiles and over the top attention; but they’re polite, funny as hell, and great at what they do!
Will definitely be coming back.

Pioneer Bar and Grill was recommended by a friend for dinner when heading home from Packwood. Was very happy that we stopped for dinner. The hamburger was one of the best I’ve had with great tasting beef and fresh vegetables. The special horseradish sauce was incredible on onion rings and our burger. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful in providing recommendations. In fact we told the waiter to just make what he thought was the best and it sure did not disappoint. Will be my spot of choice for food or drinks when in the area!

Stopped after a day at the lake. Burgers and beer were delicious on a hot day. They had some baseball on and the staff were friendly. We had Dam Burgers and went home with a lot of food. Would stop here again for some quick, quality food.
