I have always gotten amazing food from here. I live close by and I come home late often. I pass by multiple fast food options on 98th because I simply want real food and thats why I absolutely love it here! I have always had a big portion of food, plenty of extra salsa, and delicious flavor that easily beats Federicos or filibertos.

I cant speak much on the other locations but this one is the best. Their horchata is actually good and not just the blandest drink on the menu compared to other Mexican places. The one time my order was a chile relleno short they gave me a taco with plenty of guac, sour cream and meat. Their meat isnt the plastic filibertos serves either, this is actually solid, especially compared to any other fast food open at 10 within a mile radius.

The customer service is always nice and friendly, it certainly helps being bilingual. The only time the customer service was bad was with their younger ladies but the food was good enough that I didnt care. Personally, I wont stop going until their quality drops or the serving sizes get smaller. Absolutely my favorite late night grub restaurant!

I asked for a #6 no meat (vegetarian diet) and a large horchata light ice.
Wasn’t told to pull to the next window and did on my own accord.
Then talked to the worker again and was asked what I had ordered a second time. (Again just odd but social skills are learned and she was younger so I didn’t think much of it.
Then received a medium horchata (they were out of large cups but that wasn’t communicated to me)
And I asked again to make sure “so there is no meat correct?” After seeing my receipt didn’t indicate anything. She assured me there was no meat and I left.
I get home and check before biting in and there is beef which completely ruins my meal and now I’m stuck having to order food.

Not sure if I’ll come back but this is a very bad first impression of this new place.
Also no phone number to contact so I am leaving this review.

I don’t know what the issue was maybe the girl acted as if she understood English and didn’t ‍♀️ but I said twice I want the taquitos but not the plate. I don’t want the beans and rice and she said OK. I asked for a side of sour cream and she said OK. My son asked for the red Chile tacos I told her the name and told her the ones that the corn tortilla is red. She said ok.
What happened when I got home? Everything was wrong. No sour cream. I ended up paying for beans and rice that I didn’t want and my son got regular tacos. Check your order before you leave. I am so mad and this is the first time I’ve ever been there not to mention the three taquitos that I did get on top of beans and rice were soggy as hell. This was on 98th and Central albq nm at on Tuesday at 3pm. I will never go there again. $35 for two plates I should’ve known something was wrong with our order. I could’ve took that $35 and went to Village Inn or a restaurant.

Use the drive-thru
1- Repeat my order to the person in the drive-thru, she was on the phone while getting my order and she thought that I was getting a carne asada fries and a carne asada burrito
2- the person was still on the phone while I was paying.
3- waited almost 10 minutes for a burrito the parking lot had only 4 cars
4- food was cold
The service was the same as the one at San Pedro and Central, not much of customer oriented
Yes food has flavor, was cooked but cold

I have gone through the drive thru twice within the past few months. They never tell you the total when you order. First time I went, they charged me a fee for using card. They don’t tell you and I don’t see that information posted anywhere for drive thru orders, i saw it on my receipt. Second time I went I used cash but they still charged me more than what was on the menu. My platter was 13.99 and they charged me 14.29 (before tax).
Both times the workers at the drive through seemed very rushed even though it was very apparent that it was not busy at all. I think this place would do much better if they worked on customer service and updated the menu. Update the prices and maybe even include ingredients on it. You have to ask what is in everything, the pictures aren’t accurate either. I think the food is pretty good and decently priced for the platter portions, but I think I’ll stick with the other Mexican restaurant nearby.

Food was ok. Burrito was dry. But the thing that really was awful was the horchata. It tasted like crab or shrimp. Possibly have a cross contamination in their drink. Tried to call and tell them but there is no number. Will probably not return.

It’s never busy so I didn’t really want to stop but really wanted Mexican food The three taco special didn’t come with rice or beans there was hardly any ground beef in it, and it was stuck together and really old. None of the food tastes seasoned. I added ground beef to my tostada and enchilada plate, but there was no ground beef added. The tacos shells were too old & crunchy for my kids to eat Also with very little meat in those as well. So sad because I was looking forward to this opening so close to home!

Opening a new restaurant is real difficult and especially with so many corporate fast food places nearby.

The first time we came here, shortly after it opened, we ordered our food and when we got to the window it was a completely different order from what we had given at the speaker. We got it all straightened out at the window but it was an issue. Portion sizes were generous, chili is spicy and taste is great.

Each visit since has been pretty good so they seem to have fixed that first issue.

One thing that is very important to know is that beef, carne asada and barbacoa are all types of beef but each different. Beef is more like a shredded beef, carne asada is like a chopped steak and barbacoa is shredded tongue.

The last time we went, we had a mix up due to the beef types and the manager seemed very kind. He gave us a new one and explained the difference.

I recommend this place. Just be sure that you are clear with what you want to order and check everything before you leave.

Looks like a hit or miss. It finally opened, but it’s the closest place to buy rolled Tacos w/ guac & cheese, fries. It’s always good for me. I go through the drive thru. People are always nice.
