I came to do door dash . My son that’s on the spectrum severally and also non verbal was rudely yelled at because of his sensitive sensory seeking. He seen the black queue barriers to organize the customers and was literally innocently touching and rubbing it. Something he can not control. The lady with the brown hair and glasses rudely yelled at him instead of communicating with me. He did not understand at all. Even me telling him. I just came to leave a REAL REVIEW bc it’s children and adults out here on the spectrum and I need you all to train properly on how to deal with that. Don’t be ready to yell. Be slow to anger. That was very unacceptable and I did not feel comfortable being in there after that and I also will not be back if a DoorDash was to send me there I would decline it. I came in. We both came in very positive and you know very respectful, but I left out and I feel like I was attacked.

After my local Krispy Kreme shut down I was looking for a donut shop that sold lemon filled donuts for MONTHS. Luckily I fount this place from passing by and decided to stop in. They taste amazing even better than most chain donut shops, so now this will be my new favorite spot to get a lemon filled donut!! GREAT first impression!

Excellent donut shop, I’ve reviewed another one in Pelham, AL called Donut Joe’s and this is similar but quite bigger, these donut shops are pretty underlooked but popular when you get the chance to go here!
Atmosphere: You feel at home here, like it’s inviting you to go inside, looks like your mom is cooking something good, maybe some Kolaches? Oh yeah that’s one of the menu items and a great one too.
Food: The donuts just melt in your mouth but they are a bit too sweet for my liking, almost too sweet like a kid getting so excited after eating candy. The kolaches or should I say, like pig in a blanket type of food? Is the best thing on the menu that everybody should try for the first time or if they’ve been going here for years. For example, I got a sausage, egg and cheese, pepperoni, and ham and cheese.
Verdict: If you’ve been going to Dunkin, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, etc, this is a MUST-TRY in Hoover, AL, I guaranteed you will love it. ✌

Staff were super friendly. The crème filled donuts are delicious! Since I’ve recently discovered they were in Hoover I have been twice in the last few months. We’re based out of Hanceville, Al but anytime I’m in the area and feel the need for a pit stop this will be one on my radar if I’m in the area!

I’ve enjoyed Shipley Do-Nuts for decades. I bought 6 assorted donuts today. The overall quality was very disappointing. The cake donuts were small and oversaturated with sugary liquid. The donuts were dry and spongy. The chocolate glazed doughnut had a chemical aftertaste. With the choices of high-end donut shops around the Birmingham area, the lack of quality of Shipley‘s products is glaring. Maybe their ingredients and processes need to be reevaluated.
