Wanted to check this place out since it just arrived recently and looked fire! I later learned it was a top 50 place on Texas Monthly which is amazing to know.

I have been to locals like Hutchins, Pecan Lodge, Winners BBQ, Cattleack, Panther City, and further out ones like Daynes and Intersteller. This place deserves a spot among the best of them!

The owners’ origins are very interesting! The waterice was a nice smooth texture vs like the usual crushed ice around here. (I still think Bingsu is top but im biased). I like that its Halal as that brings TX BBQ to a broader audience as well.

My friend and I shared a beef rib, brisket, their sausage, and mac and everything was super delicious. The brisket had a good kick to it, made me wonder if it had some sort of spice besides the traditional black pepper.

Beef rib and brisket were melt in your mouth perfect, I got us moist (preferred choice). The sausage and mac have been the best ive tried at any BBQ place. Most of the time, sausage is dry when I try them but this was juicy as heck! I wanted to go back for more but we were so full. The Mac was also top tier, flavors were amazing and I loved the texture of the sauce (if that makes sense), not too drowned in cheese but thicker and it clung to the macaroni better.

The banana pudding and waterice were just hitting so well after that meal. Both were spectactular.

This place is soo good! Places like this are what make Texas known for brisket and bbq. As soon as you park and start walking up to the restaurant the smell of brisket engulfs you. The lady at the counter when ordering greets you with a smile. The food was phenomenal. We ate so much, and we had plenty to take home as well. Everything tasted so fresh. The brisket had the perfect smoke flavor. The dino ribs were enough for two people each. The brisket Mac and cheese was cheesy and flavorful. The owner met us afterwards and we chatted with him as well. We will definitely be back!!

Everything was great – meat – sides – dessert! Real banana pudding!
This place deserves a better rating than 50 on the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ places. I’m thinking TOP 20!! Worth the trip!

“The early bird gets the worm.” There is a queue for the first 30 mins after opening time. While there is reasonable seating inside, during better weather days you may find outdoor seating more enjoyable.

The Dino Ribs had me wondering. What next? Tomahawk Steaks? I don’t like superlatives, but I’ve never had (or enjoyed) ribs this big! Thanks for the experience. The ribs could have been trimmed just a little bit extra.

The Brisket didn’t quite have the smokiness that I prefer. Also as a nod to longtime fans, the chef may want to experiment with different rubs on pre-designated days because some of us would prefer to experience this personally (and for my own education).

The sides were a shade better than those offered in other parts of Texas (including Austin and the “golden” triangle – DFW, San Antonio and Houston).

Appreciated the tight-knit family style service.

I honestly still can’t believe how delicious everything was.

We got the red beans and rice beautifully flavored with sausage and just enough spice. It didn’t taste like straight pepper… it tasted like real seasoning. You can tell when somebody knows what they’re doing.

Then we had the chopped brisket sandwich. The meat was so tender, and the bun was extremely soft. The potato salad? Listen… not that store-bought stuff. Real potatoes. Like somebody’s mama made it.

While we were eating, the owner came over and asked if we wanted some cornbread. When I tell you that was the BEST cornbread I’ve ever tasted, I wanted to yell, “Who made this cornbread?!” My handsome kept saying, “Don’t forget to pack the rest of my cornbread,” and I’m over here thinking… your cornbread??

We also had the banana pudding Lord, that took the cake! You MUST get the pudding.

And lastly, we tried their water rice (they have multiple flavors; we chose mango). It was like a sherbet not artificial at all. It tasted like real fruit. So refreshing!

These days it’s hard to guarantee a lot, but I can guarantee that if you visit them, your experience will be amazing. The food presentation is immaculate, and the customer service is exactly what it should be true serving.

Visited Yearby’s to start the new year off right and it was amazing! You’re not just wearing bbq, you’re having an experience. Right off the bat, we were greeted with wonderful customer service when ordering food. My family and I ordered the Brisket, Beef Ribs, Sausage, Chicken, Mac n Cheese, Collards and baked beans.

From top to bottom, it was amazing…from the taste of the food and even to the homemade sauce. My brother straight up said, “This is better than Hutchins.”

Lastly, eating good food is one thing but when you are treated with such hospitality from the service to the conversations, it truly does make the experience better. Can’t wait to visit and try again!

Oh my goodness. The Mac & Cheese and Greens were so good. They need sweet potatoes to the menu. I bit they would be just as delicious. I got the brisket. I did need a knife. So tender you can cut it with your fork. So good you don’t need any bbq sauce. I will be back with my family and friends. Yearbys may God continue to Bless you, your family and co-workers. ❤️

Yearby’s BBQ is more than just a restaurant—it’s a story of passion, faith, and incredible food done right. After moving from Pilot Point to their new location at the Plano–Parker & Alma intersection, CJ and his wife have brought something truly special to the DFW area. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and pride they put into everything they do.

The food speaks for itself. Their halal zabiha BBQ is hands down some of the best in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The brisket is tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, the chicken is perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the turkey is phenomenal. No matter what you order, you can tell it’s made with intention, quality ingredients, and serious skill.

What really sets yearby’s apart, though, is the owners. CJ and his wife are genuinely kind, welcoming, and deeply committed to serving the community. They’ve created a place where everyone feels at home while staying true to their values.

If you’re looking for elite BBQ that’s halal, authentic, and made by people who truly care—yearby’s BBQ is a must-visit. DFW is lucky to have them.

Tremendously delicious food, great prices for big portions (I’d just get a large side and take leftovers as opposed to getting a smaller size and running out) and all halal. I would imagine this is the best BBQ in this part of DFW, easily carrying its weight among the top 50 in Texas per the rankings and compared in particular to the several heavyweights in Fort Worth.

Great brisket, more on the fattier side. The turkey was great too, very moist. We really enjoyed the meatloaf and hotlink sausage as well. I was joined by a good friend from Georgia who said (as someone qualified perhaps to weigh in) that the meatloaf was very very good.

Collard greens and bbq beans off the menu were great (beans on the sweeter side) and they had a special running with NOLA style red beans and rice that came with some hotlink slices on top and that was so good.

Finally, the water ice is the best I’ve had outside of Philly, and if you’ve never had it it’s a lovely palette cleanser after a rich BBQ meal.

Not much of a line when we arrived about 10:45 but many people showed up just after open at 11.

Staff were very kind!

Altogether essential to visit if you want to have good BBQ and such a great privilege to have them here north of Dallas.

I recently visited Yearby’s BBQ & Water Ice, and overall my experience was just okay.

The BBQ itself was a little mid — not bad, but not something I’d go out of my way for either. It’s decent if you don’t feel like driving far to other BBQ spots and just want something close and convenient.

I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese. It was super dry. When I mentioned that, the worker responded with, “It’s not for you.” As someone who works in food service myself, that response caught me off guard. I would have expected something more along the lines of offering a replacement or asking if I’d like to try something different.

Also, I spent $45 and didn’t receive my change back, which was disappointing and honestly left a bad impression.

Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but the food and especially the customer service could use some improvement.
