You tried to find something similar, but in the end, nothing could ever compare to the perfection you first tasted. That’s how OTDT was born. One Taco Dos Tequilas is a Mexican sports bar & grill focusing on serving the best Mexican food in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. A menu as unique as ours require an equally unique restaurant space. The concept of the space meets the idea of a modern and colorful concept.

I went today at noon for specifically a margarita. The guy working the bar made the best margarita I’ve had in my entire life . Not kidding. It was so refreshing. I can’t stop thinking about it.
10/10 this place SLAPS for margaritas. I want to go back when he’s working to try the other flavors!!

He also gave me water topped with fruit. It was a nice touch!

We came in on a Friday night around 9 pm, and surprisingly, the place was almost empty — just a couple of people at the bar and one couple picking up food to go. The atmosphere wasn’t what you’d expect from a nice Mexican restaurant on a Friday night. The music wasn’t great, the decor felt dull, and my boyfriend even noticed the sports games on TV were replays from days before.
We ordered the Quesabirria plate ($15) and the Burrito Suizo Dinner ($20). The chips and salsa that came out first weren’t good — the salsa was cold and bland, and the chips were cold with no crunch or salt. My boyfriend’s burrito was cold inside and lacked flavor, though the sauce on top was overly salty. My Quesabirrias were pretty good — flavorful and better than ones I’ve had elsewhere.
We also ordered a couple Corona-ritas and those were pretty good! Overall, the experience felt underwhelming for the price — decent food but flat atmosphere and not much energy. We left a bit unsatisfied and probably wouldn’t return.

Ordered to-go the speedy gonzalez taco dinner Mexican style and classic burrito dinner. My tacos had sliced grilled onions in it which usually mexican style is fresh ingredients and was expecting simply diced fresh onions, so wasn’t a fan of that. Perhaps it was the taco dinner I ordered and I didn’t read it correctly.
My boyfriend said his burrito lacked flavor, was a little bland, and had more lettuce and tomatoes than it did meat. Also too much tortilla so it was more bread than he would have liked to bite into. Unfortunately this place is going to be taken off our take-out list of places to eat and we’ll try another Mexican restaurant.

One Taco Dos Tequilas is always a solid choice. The food is packed with flavor, the drinks are delicious, and the menu is huge—there’s seriously something for everyone. Plus, the service is quick and welcoming. Great vibes all around!

Awesome Salsa on the table with chips. Spicy and flavorful but no heat to it. Would go back just for the chips and salsa. Forget what burrito I had but it was chicken with a sauce in it. It was pretty good too. Definitely worth the drive again. They also have video games….won $150 on the way out. So paid for dinner and made money!! Staff was awesome as well. Give it a try and tip generously! They do a great job!

Awesome flavors and great food quality! Friendly service and great portions. Our new neighborhood spot! Love the shrimp enchiladas and berry margaritas!
***update to Fall 2022*** must be under new management because it’s gone down considerably. We tried to eat here and left on two occasions. We hope they figure it out because it was a great spot.

Some of the best Mexican I have ever had…
Where to start? Could it be the multicolored bell peppers in the fajitas? Could it be the delicious array of sauces they have ranging from a nice lime sauce to a spicy fiery sauce to delicious crispy chips and fantastically flavored salsa? The guacamole is excellent too. All the portions were appropriate. You can’t go wrong at this place. I wish they had it in our town!

REALLY want to like this place as it is walking distance from my house and have been in here on several occasions. Every time there thus far, the food has been really good, but the service always comes across as disinterested/inattentive.

We went on a Friday night. It was not super busy. We were greeted right away. Our waitress was possibly new, which was ok with us. We all start somewhere! Our drinks were delicious (we both had margaritas). Our food came out rather quickly. Every bite was amazing. The salsas weren’t bland or overly spicy. I ordered 2 different types of tacos, the rice was great too! I still don’t know which was my favorite. I enjoyed them both. I will definitely be going back again!!!
