Jan 1 came back again and was another great experience. This time we had Priscilla and she did a great job. Look forward to coming back again.
Tysin was phenomenal at checking in on us and making our dinner special tonight. If you haven’t tried Azul yet and are in this area of town, I highly recommend it. Also, reservations do help for dinner as on a Thursday night they were very busy. And if you really want fantastic and above and beyond service, ask for Tysin to be your waiter. Roger that!!
We showed up and were fortunate to be added to the list for their NYE event which included a selected food menu, drinks and roof top access to the Island Fireworks.
Unfortunately everyone had the same idea to eat there because it got so packed. People were turned away eventually and the waiting area was shoulder to shoulder. However I think the restaurant and staff handled it well. After waiting over 1-1/2 hours, we had to ask for our place in line to be seated and so we made it to our table.
Service was fast, food was so deliciously good and the drinks too. Our waiter was amazing, can’t remember his name, just recall he was Wesley Chapel FL. Shout out to him for having such a good attitude despite the madness.
We were able to see the Islands Fireworks but didn’t see any of the champagne toast they advertised.
The Dj, music and games added for great vibes. Overall it was great and can’t wait to visit again.
My friend’s chicken fajitas were better seasoned, so maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. Service was okay overall, but when I asked a question about the menu, the server just pointed to what I had already read. The response felt a little dismissive and dampened the experience.
One thing I noticed is that servers hand out cards asking guests to leave reviews specifically about the service. I understand the intent, but it does feel like a way to boost ratings while drawing attention away from feedback about the food itself.
The restaurant is gorgeous and very clean, but based on my meal, the food didn’t match the high number of 5-star reviews.
After receiving our waters, I requested a Coke and waited another 10 minutes for it to arrive. At that point, we were only his second table, so the delay was difficult to understand. I also asked for Cholula sauce for my burrito, which was never brought to the table.
Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing. My steak burrito contained a large amount of fat, making it inedible. Additionally, our food took over 45 minutes to arrive.
Overall, the experience was very poor. The service was slow and inattentive, and the food quality did not meet expectations. I ultimately went up to the bar to request our check because I was eager to leave. I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
