A unique place to taste the flavors of Myanmar. Thai food can be found everywhere, and they have your typical Thai menu, but the owners here also prepare their native Burmese dishes, and I definitely recommend you try those. My husband and I tried several dishes on Valentine’s day and it was a taste of authentic Myanmar home cooking. Great opportunity for those who like to try a variety of cuisines.

We asked for vegetarian options. We got tea leaf salad which was phenomenal! We requested one of the dishes to be completely spice free for the kids, but they accidentally made it spicy. The chef happily offered to make a new one for us and asked us to enjoy the first plate anyway. The food portions are very generous. Since we were from out of town, we were not able to pack any home although we wish we could. As we were leaving, they offered our kiddos a cup of dessert. Some ice cream! This street took us by surprise. And it was super yummy all in all we got great hospitality and amazing food.

I tried the Nan Gyi Thot at Taw Win restaurant and it was delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and flavorful. It tasted just like the dishes I grew up with — comforting, balanced, and full of authentic Burmese spices.

The staff were friendly and service was excellent. If you’re craving real Burmese food or want to try something new, I highly recommend stopping by Taw Win and give yourself a try!

A friend brought me here earlier this year and now I’m obsessed. I love the Burmese menu, especially the Ohn no khao swè and Nan gyi thoke. The staff are so kind as well- they remembered me and asked how my friend from a prior visit was doing. Love love love!

The food and the ambiance at Taw Win was excellent! I say this as someone who’s Burmese – the food is not only authentic but it is also immaculately prepared. I went to lunch here with a group of Burmese friends and we ordered the whole menu.

Particular recommendations include: 1) Nan gyi thoke (they use the thicker cut noodles which work the best for the dishes flavor profile – we ordered another one after we finished), 2) mohinga soup, 3) la pet thoke – very well made tea leaf salad with a balance of spice and flavor, and 4) for dessert, some falooda

I’m Burmese and I can honestly say that this is one the best and most authentic Burmese restaurant I’ve been to in the US. I ordered the Nan gyi tote and it tasted as though I was back in Myanmar having it. It’s not just the food that is great, the service, the owner and the staff, here were also very good. I highly recommend for any Burmese out there who haven’t had Burmese food in a while. I am definitely coming back for sure.

I had the Tom Yum noodle soup and I loved it! Wonderful authentic flavor bursting with citrus and spice. I’ve been looking for a Tom Yum soup that is this good for a while now. They even gave me tea along with my meal which made this cold day better. The ambiance, decorations, and tv were all great too!

My boyfriend and I got takeout for dinner from here and it was phenomenal. I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner! We ordered the thai noodle soup with chicken (pictured), basil fried rice, and gyoza. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. This is definitely our new go-to Thai spot and I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu here.

Royal Taw Win, Denver — Honest Food, Genuine Atmosphere
Honestly, I was impressed by the quality here. Right away it’s clear: they don’t cut corners on ingredients or details. The tom kha with shrimp is textbook perfect—creamy, just the right level of spice, that sharp balance of coconut and lime. No watery broth, no overdone flavors. It’s rich, lightly spicy, and you can taste each component.

Starters—crispy shrimp on fresh lettuce with dipping sauce—are done right: fresh, not greasy, and plated with intention. The main (wide rice noodles, chicken, fresh veggies) is exactly as it should be: properly seared, never soggy, no mess on the plate. Everything comes out hot and quick, straight from the kitchen. Portions are generous—no one’s leaving hungry.

Atmosphere? Unpretentious but warm, with genuine, friendly service. The staff actually cares about your experience—they ask how your meal is, and it’s real, not just a routine.

Bottom line:
If you want honest, seriously good Asian food in Denver—without the pretense, but with real respect for the guest—Royal Taw Win nails it. Now I get why they have so many solid reviews.
