Came in on 3/3 at 9:40 (yes I know it’s late but yall are still open for 20 mins) walked in the door and the male employee visibly rolled his eyes. I waited a while never got greeted. Got asked to what my order was from the female employee under her breath. Wasn’t sure if she was even speaking to me or not? Gave my order politely bc I know they are closing and I have worked customer service since 2005. So when I’m in public I’m incredibly nice and helpful to the person assisting me and most always tip especially if it is late. So the two employees definitely picked the wring one bc I don’t always take the time to recognize great service by leaving a review BUT if I get poor service I will always leave a poor review bc I know in my heart I’m always nice to food service workers being one myself. I had to stand there with another customer while to employees talk passively aggressively about us being a late customer. I took one look at the fellow customer and said to him they can go ahead and throw mine in the trash (it was still cooking) then I left. This is sad BC I LOVE
JERSEY MIKES. It’s always my go to late night meal after a long double work day. But sadly I won’t be tipping or retuning to
Jersey Mikes bc I love to hold grudges and I’m stubborn. I haven’t been to pet smart in a year and target for two years for a similar situation. I guess I’ll go to Portillo’s instead. They are ALWAYS VERY FRIENDLY THERE.

It was a hot day so I didn’t want to cook and Jersey Mikes sounded amazing!

The staff were very quiet and seemed super annoyed with any customer interaction, but they made a damn good sandwich that was filling and fresh!

Hello, I’m writing this review to praise the worker who prepared our food yesterday, while also highlighting a serious professionalism issue that made the environment uncomfortable for both employees and customers.

We visited Jersey Mike’s on New Year’s Day around 1:00 PM. The store was extremely busy, with a high volume of online and large orders — completely expected on a holiday. During the time we were there, the young woman slicing was polite, attentive, and consistently professional. She handled mass slicing for large orders, took customer orders with attention and care, and even stepped away to handle grill orders when needed. Throughout our visit, she maintained a calm, respectful, and professional attitude, despite clearly carrying a significant portion of the workload. From a customer perspective, it was impressive to watch her multitask under pressure while remaining composed. Our food came out excellent, which is a direct reflection of her skill and effort.

Unfortunately, the other employee created a very uncomfortable and unprofessional environment. She was openly yelling, cussing, and complaining about being hungover in front of customers. She repeatedly made negative comments about how customers should place large orders online or that orders should be refused altogether. At one point, she even told the slicer not to take any more orders. While her behavior wasn’t necessarily directed at the slicer, it created a stressful and uncomfortable environment for both the slicer and customers.

What was particularly concerning is that this employee claimed to be the shift lead. If that is true, her behavior is completely unacceptable and directly undermines what leadership should represent. A shift lead should model professionalism, respect, and support for their team — not create tension, discomfort, or disrespect in front of customers. The slicer handled the situation admirably, maintaining composure, professionalism, and patience despite the toxic environment created by the supposed shift lead. She clearly demonstrated the qualities of leadership that the other employee lacked.

I have managed my own franchises, so I fully understand staffing challenges, holiday rushes, and the pressures of running a busy store. That said, this level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. Employees who are hungover or unable to behave professionally should call off rather than negatively affecting their coworkers and customers. The slicer demonstrated exactly the opposite: she handled both her workload and the unprofessional behavior around her with grace and efficiency.

It was also concerning that there appeared to be no other leadership present during the shift. The slicer, despite being a crew member, was effectively holding the shift together while remaining professional and focused. She deserves recognition for maintaining composure and ensuring the food and service were delivered well.

I hope management takes note of both employees: the slicer for her outstanding professionalism and composure under pressure, and the supposed shift lead for her unprofessional behavior, which should never occur in a customer-facing or leadership role. The food was excellent — this review is meant to highlight both the exemplary performance of the slicer and the serious behavior issues that need to be addressed.

I came here for the first time to order a sandwich. To my surprise, the staffs were extremely quiet and a bit rude. I was expecting them to guide me through the ordering process but they didn’t care enough to do so. I asked one of the employees there how big the regular size was and he touched the sandwich with the same hand that he used to touch the cleaning rag. My sandwich was okay. It was just meat and cheese, there was nothing crazy about it. I will not be returning due to the sanitation issue here. Please educate your staffs on how to handle food, proper sanitation, and most importantly, customer service.

My family and I decided to try this place after receiving a coupon from the Bloomington library. Our first visit was okay—although the restaurant felt unusually empty compared to the others nearby, where students were filling the seats. The staff seemed stressed, and the manager gave the impression that he was reluctant to honor our coupon, though in the end, it worked out.

Later, when our company received more coupons, I considered using their catering service for an upcoming event. Before committing, I brought my family again to give it another try. Unfortunately, this second visit turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. The manager was dismissive and unfriendly, and again acted as though he did not want to redeem the coupon. Even the kitchen staff looked uncomfortable and stressed, almost apologetic for the way things were being handled.

Why would the company distribute coupons if customers are going to be made to feel unwelcome when they try to use them? It leaves the impression of poor management and a negative environment, which is a shame because I truly feel for the staff working under those conditions.

Sadly, this experience convinced me not to return. I sincerely hope the restaurant addresses these issues, improves its management, and creates a better atmosphere for both staff and guests.

I requested a veggie sandwich, I emphasize no meat. Well they made my sandwich with other clients sandwiches which contained meat. Touching veggies with meat juice on hands. NO NO NO! Cross contamination. Lettuce was gray brown, gnats landing on mayo and tomatoes. I was happy my points covered it and it was free, because I threw it in trash when I got home. I will not be back. I am so happy I stood and watched. Its disturbing.

(On 11/13 @ 9:50pm )Food didn’t sound good until right before everything I would normally choose closed. There was 10 minutes to spare when I arrived at this location on Main st in Normal IL, where I was greated with care immediately. The star who worked on my order was friendly, very knowledgeable about the food (my first visit btw) the other star working alongside this said person worked very effectively with closing tasks and maintaining the orders coming thru the door. Usually I don’t like getting addicted to restaurants but this one is worth it. Affordable, fast, friendly, clean, and amazing subs. Definitely will be back at opening.

Sigh. . . . . Okay. . . . Here we go. I stopped by the Jersey Mike’s at 701 S Main in Normal IL around 6:30 pm. The 2 employees were busily talking bad about a co-worker or former co-worker. I do not know which nor do I care. They way they were talking was really annoying. I heard enough of that in high school. I do not want to hear in a place of business. I ordered a #9 – Club Supreme and a #17 Mike’s Famous Philly. The Philly was average and the amount on the sandwich left over an inch of bread with nothing on it. I know businesses are trying to cut back but come on. The Club Supreme is described as roasted beef, turkey, Swiss, apple wood smoked bacon and mayo. I was asked if I wanted everything on the Club. I said yes but declined it being made Mike’s way. When I got home, my wife opened her Club and what she got was some roast beef and cheese. NOTHING ELSE. NO TURKEY, NO BACON NO MAYO. They did not even ask me if I wanted lettuce or other toppings on the Club. I guess they were too busy bashing someone to pay attention to my order or customers. My wife had to use our own lettuce and mayo. My wife wants to give them another chance. I agreed. BUT, if they fail again. As I fully expect them to do, I will send my complaints and 100% dissatisfaction all the way up to Corporate Franchise Chain. If they close, no problem Bloomington / Normal is the capital of chain restaurants. I am sure there will be another Corporate Franchise Chain to take the vacated place of the Mike’s in Normal. I did not go back as it would have taken time and we were hungry. I doubt they would have done anything about it anyway. I actually give them ZERO stars. I had to give 1 star to post this review.
