What an awesome Bar and Grill! It is very clean, recently remodeled, good views of Cullen Park and friendly staff! You have to try the food! Most if the items are homemade! I had the Perch and shrimp basket that is hands down the best I’ve had! The tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and slaw is made in house and the hand cut fries Good job on all the improvements! We will definitely be back, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!!

Nice little tavern that serves traditional bar food like burgers and fish. I had the perch and shrimp dinner basket with fries and cole slaw. Shrimp and perch were done well, fries were solid, slaw was ok. Got the hot pepper cheese balls, I liked those as they had some decent heat. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to grab a bite and a brew.

I visited a couple of weeks ago after seeing several posts and a review from a local news reporter. The place itself was very nice. It appeared recently remodeled and was very clean. You have to go up to the bar to place your order, which isn’t horrible when there’s not many people, but once it gets busy it’s hard to find the bartender for a refill.
I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was edible but tasted like it was a frozen burger with no seasoning. Then, as you can see in the picture, I got about 10 fries. I literally ate only 2 before taking this picture. I thought about saying something but this is how the cook sent it out and the bartender brought it to me, so it must be a normal thing for them. This was also my 1st time here and wasn’t comfortable to complain in what seemed like a neighborhood hangout with a majority of “regular” customers.

The appetizer, ruben balls, they are manufactured and mushy inside. Skip this appetizer. They are nasty and a waste of your money. The perch dinner….the perch was very good. The fries were limp and greasy. The coleslaw was very good. The service was good as well.

There is nothing like a great salad!! My husband got this Chef Salad to go for me and it was so fresh and delicious, especially when I topped it off with the tavern’s homemade ranch dressing! Can’t wait to dine there sometime soon.

Long hair in 3rd bite of sandwich which was a Philly cheese steak sandwich.When I felt something funny and I thought it was the stringy cheese It was not it was a4-5 inch hair stuck to the cheese and bread in my mouth.I was DONE.Barmaid that my wife took it to did not seem to be overly concerned.Offered a10 percent discount.If I ever go there again (which I never will) I will play close attention to any food I order.I don’t recommend any one go there. My wife and I were there 8-12-25 at around 2pm.never again.This was are first time there.
