HEAVENLY…AS ADVERTISED!!!
After a day of Mayberry nostalgia, head over to Miss Angel’s. This pie shop is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the smell alone lets you know you’re in for something special. Miss Angel, herself, will be there creating a little Heaven on Earth. The pies are rich, homemade, and bursting with flavor—but the real rockstar is their FRIED PIES. I had to try an apple fried pie. Crispy on the outside, warm and perfectly sweet on the inside and drizzled with a sweet sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. They’re amazingly delicious and truly unique. You don’t find fried pies done this well very often, and once you try one, you’ll be thinking about it long after you leave, trust me. A must-stop spot for any pie lover.
I am actually going to give this amazing place 6 stars! Highly recommend this little slice of Heaven.

Such a cute store with plenty of variety. It wasn’t just pies, there were also muffins, cookies, cakes, etc. You could see the fried pies being made in real-time. The velvet cookie sandwich was great! Perfect amount of sweetness and very soft. ❤️

This is a very tightly squeezed desert shop on main street in downtown Mount Airy. The walls are adorned with metal signs with cute and sassy sayings and words of wisdom. The first couple of visits to this establishment i intentionally and purposefully went specifically for ice cream and was very pleased but the more I went I started noticing the baked goods and began to try them and again was delighted. There is actually a whole other store next door specifically for baked goods and there is a large variety from cakes, scones, pies and many others. The interesting thing is they offer ice cream with moonshine in it that is clearly labeled so you are well aware of your ice creams contents. I have never tried the moonshine Ice cream but the regular is absolutely delicious and very cheaply priced. I love the key lime pie ice cream and the cinnamon rolls. I have tried other sweets and those were also yummy.

I had read about this place in the Our State magazine. I added it to my list of places to visit. It did not disappoint. We got a key lime pie (chilled), StrawBerry Pie, and a cranberry orange muffin. The owner was so sweet, she gave us another key lime pie so we could determine which one we liked best. Highly recommend this place. Oh the smell inside matches the name, Heavenly!

We went out of the way so I could buy pies here . I wish it had been worth it . Only one person in the store to help customers and she was overwhelmed . As I was watching her ring up my order I pointed out we didn’t get a cherry pie . She said they were all the same price so it wouldn’t matter . What did matter was when we got home . She didn’t have the order correct . Very upset the wrong pie was put in our containers since it was a gift . The strawberry pies had twice as much crust as filling . You could barely tell it was strawberry. The coconut had a great filling but the outer crust would choke you it was so thick . The chocolate pie was dry and just not good .

I can’t say enough about this bakery and Miss Angel. My girlfriend, Charyl, and I stopped on and she immediately greeted us like family. We stayed and talked for a while and shared life stories. What a treat! Speaking of treats, the apple pie & cherry pie with crumble pie are hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t forget to go next door and top it with a little moonshine ice cream. Wow wow wow! This is a MUST VISIT if you are in the area.

It smelled like Heaven from the point of walking through the door. There is wall to wall baked goods with something for everybody. My sister, brother in law and I purchased crumb cake, blueberry pie and a gingerbread pie….Everything was so delicious and was made fresh, no preservatives. I could spend all day here. Angela is such a sweet lady. We spoke a bit and discovered that we both are originally from Long Island, so it’s no wonder why everything looked so great. I am visiting my sister in Tobaccoville for a few days and will definitely have to stop by again b4 heading back home. Stop by…you’ll be glad you did.

We found tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was such a great experience. We ate the Blueberry cobbler with ice cream and the apple pie bread pudding. We took home a fresh baked sourdough bread loaf. All were excellent! We will definitely come back when we visit Mount Airy!
