Great food, atmosphere, and customer service! There’s a nice variety of meals that are both healthy and delicious. The staff is very friendly and polite. Special mention to Zac, Luis, and Nathan. Thank you for the excellent attention and customer service. The team is welcoming and bilingual (English and Spanish), which is a big plus. I will definitely be back. Best lunch I’ve had in a very long time. Pictured is the Teriyaki grilled chicken plate with marble potatoes and garlic parm mushrooms. Incredible flavor on all 3. Luis was a fantastic server and Ally a great host. Will be returning on my next trip to OC.

Excellent lunch spot. Very clean, organized and the food was so good. I had a apple and beet salad, added salmon. It was fresh and bursting with flavor.
It was a hearty portion size.
The waitstaff there is on point, professional and attentive. Definitely will be back.

From Alabama visiting our son who lives in San Juan Capistrano. We are here at least 2x a year and have eaten at lot of restaurants. Urban Plates, by far, is our new favorite place to eat. I had the blackened salmon and my husband had steak. Both meals were perfection! Service was excellent, thanks to Ashley and Luis. We’ll definitely be back!

When the Chipotle line was too long, I decided to treat myself to what I thought would be an upgraded lunch at Urban Plates — but unfortunately, it didn’t feel like an upgrade.
I was disappointed when they said they wouldn’t make the rustic bread dairy-free (other Urban Plates locations are happy to). Then, after holding the door for an employee with his hands full, his only response was, “Okay.” Not exactly a warm welcome.
My food arrived quickly, which I appreciated, but it wasn’t cooked to my preference, didn’t taste great, and again, came without the rustic bread that the website states is dairy-free.
