Fantastic restaurant! My family and I came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and carb-load for an upcoming race. I highly recommend the five sampler appetizer- there’s something for everyone! The sugarcane shrimp was especially delicious. My parents got the shrimp pho and I got the combo pho and the flavors were great. A bit on the pricier side, but the experience was easy to enjoy. Our server Alex was knowledgeable and loved cracking jokes to the table. He was kind enough to give us a good luck cake on top of a happy birthday cake for my mom. I’ll be coming back!

Was in the area and I’ve heard about this place so I stopped by to check it out. I started off with their espresso martini. It’s the traditional version which was pretty good. Waitress was excellent in recommending the calamari and crème brûlée. So yummy. The chicken pad Thai, shumai and fried red snapper lettuce wrap was a hit! But the duck curry not my favorite. The atmosphere was beautiful. Overall. I will be back for sure.

1618 Asian Fusion delivers a beautiful, open atmosphere that immediately sets the tone. It’s clean, vibrant, and full of energy—an ideal spot for a date night, special occasion, or taking the wife out for nice night of entertainment. The space alone makes you feel like you’re somewhere intentional, not just grabbing a bite.

I stopped in for a birthday lunch with a buddy, and overall the experience was solid.

What we loved:
Monster Rib Pho – My buddy ordered this and absolutely loved it. Big, bold, comforting, and clearly a standout.
Calamari – Cooked well and full of flavor.
Egg Rolls – Delicious and satisfying.
✨ Overall vibe – Very clean, energetic, and visually appealing.

My order:
Chicken Pad Thai – This was just okay. The flavor was fine, but the chicken portion felt lacking. If I’m paying for a dish at this price point, I expect the protein to reflect it. It leaned heavy on fillers, which was a bit disappointing.

Cocktail – Looked great presentation-wise, but the taste didn’t land for me. I wouldn’t order it again.

Parking: Parking honestly kind of sucks. Most nearby spots are reserved, so you’ll likely need to use the parking garage across the way. Slightly inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.

Final Thoughts: All in all, I do recommend 1618 Asian Fusion. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and several menu items really shine. I’m planning to give it another try—this time taking my wife so she can experience it for herself. I’ll update once that happens.

Definitely check them out and support local businesses.

Excellent dim sum experience for a work sponsored brunch on Lunar New Year! We tried a ton of things, but I would say the highlights were the Hanoi egg coffee, the bao, the shumai with dipping sauce, and the beef pot stickers with cheese. My only complaint is that they’re targeting an American palate, and found the flavors weren’t quite as pungent or spicy as you might find at a more traditional focused restaurant. They make up for it by offering such a wide variety of solid options though! Price wise, I’m not sure I’d come back on my own outside of happy hour though, it’s a bit steep for the portions.

This place came highly recommended during our work trip, so we had to give it a try. We stopped by on a Thursday night a little early and we got seated right away. Our waiter was so helpful and walked us through the large menu!

We got the beef bao, as recommended, and I got a Vietnamese bowl with chicken lemongrass. Everything was so good and uniquely put together. Looking around at the other food going out to tables you can’t go wrong and there is a good variety.

For dessert my coworker got the flaming cheesecake and I got a caramel cake. Would definitely recommend, perfect for all occasions. As we were finishing up, live music was starting which added a nice touch. Seems to get busy fast so I would recommend going early or getting a reservation.

An amazing experience. The food is TOP quality, will have your taste buds dancing. My 3rd time here and it’s never a miss. This time around we had the whole Red Snapper done in their mouth watering tamarind ginger basil sauce ..good till the last bone.

10/10 all around. Our server Brian was super attentive and on top of everything. The cocktails were great. Most importantly the food…I have had A LOT of soup dumplings…A LOT. Their pho wagyu beef soup dumplings were the best we have ever had. The beef pan fried dumplings and duck wonton noodle soup were also phenomenal. Highly recommend this spot. Sad we are just visiting Austin because this place would have half my pay check weekly

Had a really fulfilling time here for a dinner in Austin. We got the custard baos, which came out very promptly while we waited for our main meals. We ordered their rib and filet mignon pho and their duck soup, both of which were extremely rich and flavorful—would definitely recommend! Our server was Marvy and she was so incredibly sweet and ready to give us all the best recommendations since it was our first time here, and the other waiters we interacted with briefly were also very kind and accommodating. Will have to come back to try some more desserts!
