What a delightful experience! First, we didn’t have a reservation and the gals were so sweet and accommodated the 2 of us. The vibe was whimsical and merry. The garlic parmasean wings were amazing and you should know my fiancée is a tough critic. The Scallops and bacon were delish along with the burger. Our server Maura was top notch, on point and told us about the restaurant and the history of their Xmas vision. These cranky peeps need to be kinder and perhaps attempt resolve in another way other than a mean keyboard warrior. I didn’t meet the owner but he obviously choose a great staff and cares about his business. Thats all I need! Thank you for a great dining experience, we will be back!

I have been coming here yearly, for the third year in a row, during the Christmas miracle experience. We have always had a wonderful time, food is good – each year it seems to improve, service is great, atmosphere is great!

Planned to stop here for lunch on a drive from Philadelphia to Cambridge. Picked it from reviews here and to eat at a place on the water off the highway. Great choice! Server Ava was sweet and attentive. Food and drink was all very good. Took a walk after eating along the seawall.

A must-see bar/restaurant to go to during the Christmas season! Completely decorated for Christmas throughout the entire place. The Miracle pop-up cocktails are a must to try as they are served in decorative glasses and mugs. The menu appears to be typical pub food. We only had a hummus appetizer with cocktails at the bar so can’t judge the quality of the food in the dining area. Worth going to see the decorations and enjoy the cocktails. If you want to dine, make reservations well in advance.

Very good! Service was good! Without reservations, was still able to be seated immediately. Shrimp tacos were very tasty! Scallops were like butter! The mushroom risotto was delicious. Nice portion of salmon and the veggie mixture of broccoli rabe, carrots and squash was delicious! Definitely will be back and who doesn’t like to eat by the water!!

A beautiful afternoon spent at Riley’s! The ambiance is simply perfect for this festive time. Small but cozy, delicious lunch and super friendly service. Drinks were fun and yummy! Being right by the seawall, it was a perfect location for an after lunch stroll! This will become a tradition for us for sure!!

we love to eat lunch and dinner here during the summer. the staff is so friendly and hospitable! the food is always good- i have to recommend the riley’s burger, it is always so tasty and cooked perfectly. i will say it is a lot of burger, but if you’re hungry then definitely try it!! the seafood cobb salad is also a big hit with us, the portion sizes are great and everything is super fresh! the drinks are also something good to try- i ordered a jalapeño margarita, and i would absolutely get it again. the beach is also right across the street if you want to take an after dinner walk! all around great vibes, we will definitely be back soon!

The atmospheres and decorations were lovely. A lot of Christmas spirit and families with children. The food was good and drinks delicious. The wait staff and manager were excellent. It was heart breaking though to see the manager trying so hard to keep a group of unruly employees from a Stratford school, who had several tables, under control and not disturb the other diners. Several times had to address the noise that they were making and to ask them to stay seated in the dining room. They even told him they were going to give the restaurant a bad review. I would mention the school they are from but will refrain. Please try this restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. This review isn’t about the noise level created by the disrespectful patrons but is to say that my group thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.
Edit: The school employees that absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful holiday experience, who were so rude and loud and horribly mean to the owner/manager were from Franklin School. He had to asked them to leave and they would not and threatened bad reviews. They didn’t tip a waitstaff. They were in the dining area banging into others chairs, screaming across the dining room. If they don’t recognize this as horribly bad behavior than I wonder what the superintendent would think. I will have to reach out. Be happy if your children are lucky enough and don’t go there.

Riley’s by the Seawall
Located right on the seawall bordering Long Island Sound at Lordship Township in Stratford, Connecticut, I stopped by for drinks earlier this month. I was looking at how Lordship Township had changed in the six-plus years since I last visited.
Riley’s was a well-loved restaurant back in the day, and for this visit I found the same positive energy that I recalled from long ago. The patrons and bar staff were all friendly, conversations could be heard without having to raise the voice, and drinks were reasonably priced. I wish I could have stayed for dinner, but the visit was a good one.
