We enjoyed a great dinner here. We started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms, I ordered the broiled seafood combo with baked stuffed shrimp and scrod. My wife ordered the baked stuffed scrod. Both dinners were excellent choices, very flavorful and satisfying. We visited while on vacation, if I could frequent Grassfields, it would be to work my way through the menu! Our service was also excellent.

I originally went in to get a gift card and spotted a seat open next to the bar area so decided to have lunch, which was a great spur of the moment decision! Tina who i believe was the bartender took my order: the mini crabmeat pie, and petite sirloin. The food was delivered very quickly but by someone else who I think was a waitress in the dining room. Next thing I noticed was the gift card person was bussing tables! It got very busy in the restaurant and I noticed a really heart-warming display of teamwork! Everyone was pitching in to help where needed! The food was amazing and you can’t beat the prices! I will definitely be back!

Grassfields is such a great spot for a meal 🙂 The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, and the service is always friendly & attentive. The food is consistently delicious, especially the seafood, burgers & steaks, which are always cooked just right. The portions are generous without being over the top, and everything feels fresh and well made. It has that classic, comfortable New England restaurant vibe where you can go for a casual night out or bring family for something a little special. The prices are fair for the quality, & I always leave feeling happy!!

We love Grassfields. Nothing fancy, just good food with wonderful servers and bartenders. Although they clearly love their regulars, and there are many, you never feel out of place if you aren’t one. They are kind and friendly to all. The steaks and seafood are delicious, the sides are flavorful and abundant, and the service is top notch.

Ordered a steak for pick up my girlfriend went to pay got a call back 30 minutes after saying that there was an issue my girlfriend only paid 21 out of the $28 bill. There was a miscommunication between the hostess and my girlfriend when I went to pay the hostess very rude old, elderly woman named Fay Said my girlfriend ran out after she paid 40 she gave her $28 instead of the 19 back. (Great hire lol) we came to pay and they were very rude about it blaming it on her saying she was rushing them. Steak was also pretty mid. Do yourself a favor and avoid this old folks home

Had dinner with my mother and my daughter on Wednesday. After reading some reviews I wasn’t sure what to think. I have to say everything was great. The lobster pie, salmon dish, and the surf and turf steak and stuffed shrimp. The side salad was also fantastic. Everything arrived hot and delicious. Joanne our server was the best. If I go back I hope to get her. Loved everything would definitely go back.

Manager Bruce is rude and unprofessional. Answered the phone with a rude “hello” (didn’t say Grassfields or anything), was rude while taking my order. He had an attitude and was extremely unprofessional. I was surprised to find out he was the manager. He refused to let me pay by card, then we called back because the person picking it up didn’t have their wallet on them. He said “I already told Stephanie no but I guess that’s not good enough.” He took the card info but had written it on the receipt. We got the order with the card info still written on the receipt. Anyone could have seen that info and taken a pic. Grassfields has really gone down hill. They used to care about the customer experience. I feel bad for his staff who have to put up with his horrible personality.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The manager did not come across as very welcoming, and our waitress seemed rushed and inattentive, which made it difficult to feel comfortable during our visit.
While the prices were lower than some other seafood spots, the food itself was bland and not very memorable – honestly, it felt like something I could have made at home. Even at a lower price point, it didn’t feel worth it.
I also felt that the atmosphere and attention were more focused on regular local customers rather than being equally warm and inclusive to everyone. While that may not be intentional, it did affect how welcome we felt.
Overall, this wasn’t the experience I was hoping for, and I wouldn’t return.
