Reviews
Food: Every course blew our minds. The tuna poke and feta whip appetizers were unbelievable, and my 14oz dry aged ribeye was cooked to perfection. The presentation at the table was equally impressive.
Ambience: The dim lighting and artistic wall coverings give the place a classy feel. Noise levels were good, considering that the restaurant was packed by 6:30pm on a Thursday.
Service: Was top notch. Our server (Riley) was great, and she was very attentive and upbeat.
Catablu gets my highest (and rarest) recommendation.
The menu is creative and everything we ordered was executed to perfection. A huge thank you to our waitress, Mary, for the fantastic service! She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made our evening even more special. It’s easily one of the best spots in town for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted meal and top-tier hospitality. Highly recommend!
Note to Management: We, The SEALS of NE-Indiana love supporting local gems like Catablu! If you are ever in need of a reliable vendor for refrigeration gaskets, routine maintenance, or general handyman repairs to keep the kitchen and front-of-house running smoothly, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d love to help!
The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between sophisticated and welcoming. The industrial open ceilings create a sense of space, while charming touches like the iconic wine wall with its library-style ladder and wine barrel lighting add warmth and character. Movie quotes painted in a panorama around the room give the space a playful wit that sets it apart from stuffy fine dining establishments.
But let’s talk about what truly matters: the food. Executive Chef Fletcher Brown and owners Mike and Maureen Catalogna have created a menu that showcases fresh, innovative cuisine without pretension. Everything is made in-house—the sauces, the breads, the desserts—and you can taste the difference. The cheeseburger is absolute perfection. The salmon is tender and generous, the Brussels sprouts are a revelation, and don’t even get me started on the beignets—they’re simply to die for. The menu changes seasonally, which keeps regulars like me coming back to see what new creations await.
And then there’s the bar. If you find yourself seated there, do yourself a favor and let Trent take care of you. He isn’t just a bartender—he is a craftsman. Trent has an easy, genuine warmth that makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit. His knowledge of the extensive wine selection is impressive, and his skill with craft cocktails is even better. The Manhattans are works of art, and Trent has an uncanny ability to read what you’re in the mood for and deliver exactly that. He remembers your preferences, engages in great conversation without being intrusive, and embodies everything a great bartender should be. An evening at Catablu’s bar with Trent mixing drinks is an experience unto itself.
Catablu Grille is more than a restaurant—it’s a Fort Wayne gem that deserves to be celebrated. Whether you’re marking a special occasion, entertaining clients, or simply treating yourself to a weeknight escape, this is the place. Make a reservation, order with abandon, and raise a glass to Trent behind the bar.
Five stars. Every time.
Our server, Kayla, was outstanding & went above and beyond! She made our experience even better with her friendly attitude and helpful recommendations on the menu. Her service made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Beverages: Pomegranate, Classic Daiquiri, Blue Buffalo, Old Fashioned
Blue Buffalo was better then the Old Fashion but the Old Fashion was stronger.
Pomegranate was better the Classic Daiquiri.
Starters: Bread, Soup- Lobster Bisque, Main Lobster Tail Bites
Entrées: Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Faroe Island Salmon
Were short on potatoes.
There are only 3 mixed in with some onions.
But between the appetizers and the desserts, I was full when I left the service was outstanding. I don’t think we went more than 2 minutes unattended.
I would definitely recommend
I am vegetarian and my husband is not. There were great options for both of us. I got the Wyoda Salad and cheddar potato au gratin. We shared lemon feta dip and beignet for dessert.
We had plenty of left overs to take home for another meal. Would highly recommend trying this restaurant!
